I Feel Like We're Summoning The Devil
Nickname/Alias: Serbia
Gender: Male
Character Type: Country
Country or Country of Origin: Serbia
Canon or Original: Original

When I look into all of your stupid faces
I think how fun it will be to pound them into dust
Hair: Black-brown
Height and Weight: 5'10'', 155lbs (1.78m, 70.31kg)
Other Distinguishing Features: Several scars from failed insurrections and wars
Overall Appearance: Like most nations, Serbia hasn't looked much older than early twenties for centuries. The rough estimate is about 22 years of age. He's well set in terms of build with some resemblances to Russia in terms of being "big boned". He prefers wearing a stiff military uniform and has a modified version for the summer when Mediterranean temperatures soar. His uniform is a dull green-grey jacket over a white dress shirt and a matching tie. He wears grey boot-cut pants and combat boots. As the times change, so does his wardrobe and dresses appropriately to each period of history. He also has a similar uniform in navy with a black shirt. For conferences (all of which he hates), he'll wear a black suit coat over various colored dress shirts and ties which complement the outfit. He has dress shoes and black dress pants as well. The Serb prefers black socks over white. His civilian clothes are just that--whatever the people on the streets are wearing. Regardless of what he's wearing, Serbia always carries credentials with him marking him as a government official and a personified nation. The credentials are written in Serbian and English. He likes being armed and usually is seen with a rifle close at hand except when he has to be in committee or trying to pass as a normal civilian or travelling on diplomatic missions. His hair refuses to grow neatly causing Serbia much grief in the area of keeping it trimmed. The man is horrible about keeping on schedule with haircuts. However, he does his best to keep it from getting too far out of hand. He has a slightly tanned skin tone from living in the southern part of Eastern Europe. He's pretty athletic from playing football, water polo, and most recently, tennis. He's also had a thousand years to get fit and 370 of those years were under Turkish control.

Secrets: He still has the rifle he used to kill Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife (don't tell Austria or Hungary). He's certain that the entire Balkan region should be ruled by him. He enjoys making locks and keys as an odd hobby.
Any Quirks/Habits: He cleans his entire armory ceiling to floor when he needs to relieve stress. He plays with his credentials as a nervous habit. He needs to carry a small box of raspberries and a canteen of Šljivovica on him all the time.
Overall Personality: Serbia from the outside, looks like he hates the world. He rarely smiles for anyone. This is partly due to his habit of never forgiving anyone for their wrongs no matter how many centuries have past. Even when the rest of the world has moved on, the Serbs never forget. However, he is capable of making allies especially with other Eastern Slavic nations. He wary of many nations and can seem rather anti-social at times. He often sees himself as a "father figure" to the other Balkan nations, namely Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Slovenia, and grudgingly so, Croatia. Croatia is Serbia's bitter arch rival, though at the encouragement of his boss, may be able to forgive partially. He sees Montenegro as his 'little brother' and prefers to shield him from the rest of the world. He doesn't love others that easily, preferring a more platonic relationship than a sexual one, Macedonia being his lust object. Serbia sees Macedonia as "Southern Serbia" and would love for the two to become one.
One certain way to get Serbia's attention is through alcohol. He usually avoids German beer (bad memories from Nazi Croatia), but will just about kill to have plum brandy. He's an incredibly proud nation and while not known to be blatantly arrogant (like a certain former German state I could mention), does like his bragging rights. He rarely gives the cold, hard truth and frequently beats around the bush or stalls to avoid answering questions directly. It should also be mentioned that he likes raspberries as the exporter of over 1/3 of the world's raspberries. He loves food and drink and has proved to be a fairly good cook when it comes to his own dishes.
Serbia is incredibly volatile when it comes to other nations. He can start wars in a heartbeat and can be reluctant to end them. He frequently calls on Russia as back-up, but tries to do what he can by himself first. He'll fight tooth and claw to preserve his own national identity and isn't afraid to pull the trigger. However, a bit of diplomacy can go a long way and even Serbia knows when making deals at conferences is better than rushing in, guns blazing. He relies on his capital and boss to keep his violent nature in check. Despite all this, he's good at peaceful activities too, like playing musical instruments and chess.

You've got it backwards! Backwards!
Hurry up and throw it! If you don't hurry up and throw it, you'll go "boom"!
The Nation of Serbia held his 'little brother', Montengro, close to him. "I'm not going to lose you like I lost everyone else. Damn them! Damn them for not staying with me! Damn them for not seeing how great we could have been!" Yugoslavia was falling apart before his eyes and there was nothing he could do. First, it was Slovenia, a nation he often forgotten and honestly didn't miss. Then Croatia and Bosnia and Macedonia broke away. He loved Macedonia more than any other Balkan nation except maybe for Montenegro. Bosnia too was practically family. Coratia, for all their petty quarrels and arguments, was just as valued as the rest. Now, they wouldn't be able to talk and tell them of all the good things in life. His big house in Belgrade felt empty and the stoic nation was on the verge of tears. Damn the sun for shining. Serbia wanted to rain to hide his own sadness at losing those he thought of as family. Where had he gone wrong? The Serb wasn't ready to call Russia yet, but it was likely that the northern Slavic nation already knew about what had happened. Serbia felt Montenegro's arm gripping him and looked down at the boy. "Monty, you're still young and don't fully realize how hard it is to be in charge of an empire. I never want you to feel this way. Please, stay by my side. Don't leave me like the rest of them." He pulled out a fading photgraph of all of them--Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, Sloevnia, and Macedonia all looking quite happy together. He could feel a few tears running down his face at the memories which were now nothing more than memories of a time of what 'could have been'. It felt like the family was being ripped apart by some force Serbia himself could never understand. The nation pocketed the photograph and removed his credentials which still had Yugoslavia written on it. "What's going to happen, Monty? I don't know. For once in my life, I can't fortell the future. Let's go home. I want to imagine that we're all still together and nothing has changed. I don't want to think of my big house as being empty. Promise me, promise me right now that you won't go away. For both of our sakes, Montenegro. Please, promise me that!" When Serbia looked around him, the setting was the familar street and threshhold on his big, empty house. He didn't want to enter. He was, for the first time since the formation of the Second Yugoslavia, truly afraid of what was next.
