SIGURD (NORWAY) THOMASSEN
{Ja, vi elsker dette landet, som det stiger frem, furet, værbitt, over vannet, med de tusen hjem. Elsker, elsker de tog tenker på vår far og mor og den saganatt som senker drømmer på vår jord.
Yes, we love this country as it rises forth, rugged, weathered, above the sea, with the thousands of homes. Love, love it and think of our father and mother and the safa night that sends dreams to our earth.}

When I look into all of your stupid faces
I think how fun it will be to pound them into dust
Hair: Blond
Height and Weight: 1.795m (5’10.5”), 68.039kg (150lbs)
Other Distinguishing Features: floating hair curl on the left, Nordic Cross barrette
Overall Appearance: Norway is usually seen wearing a blue sailor’s outfit and brown boots. His hair is a muted dark blue color with a navy and white necktie that extends beyond the hate. The jacket consists of lighter blue collar a necktie, and matching cuffs. The ribbon along the collar is the same color as the darker ribbon on his hat. His pants are the same color as the jacket cuffs. He wears a brown belt with a silver buckle and dark brown or black gloves. Norway also wears a blue and white striped dress shirt with grey pants and a red necktie. In a more casual setting, Norway wears a red over normal clothes or a purple sweater over a white dress shirt. He always wears a silver barrette of the Nordic cross on the left side of his head.
He sometimes wears a pale red shirt under a purple-blue jacket with jeans, an orange plaid scarf, and snow boots. Though he doesn’t wear it very often, Norway has the traditional Norwegian bunad. He only wears it on May 16. Most of his casual outfits include snow boots and scarves. For meetings, Norway wears a white dress shirt with a red tie, a navy dress jacket, grey slacks, and black dress shoes. He has a lapel pin with the design of his flag pinned to his jacket. He has a heavy red winter coat, grey ski pants, and white and blue ski boots for skiing. His skis are blue with red and white accents.
Physically, Norway is of a lighter frame, but he’s quite a bit stronger than he looks from years of fishing. He has light blond hair which is swept to the right and has a distinctive floating hair curl and dot on the left side. He has boyish features which make him look a few years younger than he actually is. His eyes are a dull blue color which make him look listless even when at full attention. He generally has a straight face and a neutral expression. Norway can often be seen with a troll or fairy hanging around him, both of which are visible to others. Other creatures from Norse mythology can also be seen around Norway. A baby Fire Drake likes Norway's company and can frequently be seen sitting on the nation's shoulder or head or flying around Norway. The dragon is very sociable and will usually try to interact with others in sometimes cute and hilarious ways.

Overall Personality: Norway is generally a very quiet and mysterious man. He is seen as a man of few words and his range of expressed emotions is even more limited. He lives like a hermit in his house in the fjords. When he does talk, he says only what is necessary and does so in a soft spoken manner. He’s not one to raise his voice about anything and figuring out his actual emotions is difficult if not next to impossible. He’s incredibly shy and rarely leaves the confines of his country unless absolutely necessary. Norway enjoys solitary activities and going on a relaxing cross country ski trip around his country is thoroughly enjoyed. When skiing isn’t an available activity, Norway goes fishing and prefers fishing over skiing any day. He regularly takes his motor boat out into the North Sea or the Barents Sea for a few days of fishing.
He loves his tradition and can seem a bit slow to adapt to a modern world, but he will adjust at his own pace. He likes music that’s several decades old and classical music has always been a favorite. As far as solitary activities go, Norway is a competent pianist and violin player. Besides old music, Norway has an odd attraction to heavy metal and will happily turn up the volume when he’s alone in his house.
The only time Norway can actually be described as vocal is when he’s complaining and criticizing others. He criticizes everyone. The only nation he’ll actually tease is Denmark. Most of Norway’s humor comes at Denmark’s expense. Despite being childhood friends and having done everything together for so long, Norway is irritated by Denmark’s behavior and usually seems less than pleased in his presence.
For company, Norway keeps quite a few non human companions around himself, most being from Norse mythology. A troll, nisse, or fairy are most commonly seen in the supernatural aspect, but dragons and snakes aren’t that unusual either. He also looks to his pet dogs and horses for company since even a recluse can experience loneliness at times. The dogs are named after various cities in Norway and the horses are named after the fjords.
In matters relating to war, Norway prefers to stay neutral. He isn’t fond of the loud noises and numbers of people in warfare, opting for his solitary lifestyle instead. When forced into battle, Norway is a decent fighter and is a capable soldier especially where the navy is involved. Norway is quite skilled at operating war ships and likes naval battles over air battles by a landslide.
Norway finds it impossible to hate anyone. That isn’t to say he doesn’t get annoyed by others, but he doesn’t experience what would be considered hatred or loathing. His outward expression around those he isn’t terribly fond of remains neutral, though a frown is only marginally more detectable. On the flip side, even when he’s pleased and happy, Norway rarely smiles and even elation looks more like dissatisfaction than pleasure. The lack of outward emotion seems to leave the impression of never being satisfied with what’s given or that something is wrong even there’s nothing out of order.
When he’s forced into the company of others, Norway can be quite polite and almost pleasant to be around. He forces himself to show the slightest hint of a smile at others’ jokes though rarely makes any himself unless at Denmark’s expense. While not much for small talk, Norway makes for a rather good debate partner and will challenge the opinions of others without reserve. He can sometimes seem to take sadistic pleasure in watching others struggle to make good arguments and become aggravated.
