When I look into all of your stupid faces
I think how fun it will be to pound them into dust
Hair: Blonde
Height and Weight: 5’7, 132 lbs
Other Distinguishing Features: Red or green hairband
Overall Appearance: Belgium is a tall woman with a slender, yet full hour-glass figure and soft face. Her eyes, which always seem to have a sparkle to them, are a deep olive green colour and she is hardly ever seen without a genuine smile on her face. She has delicate features; full, soft pink lips, arched eyebrows and a petite nose. Her hair is a golden colour and wavy. She has it styled into a bob that falls just above her shoulders. Her skin is pale, but not sickly white. It has a healthy glow to it and her cheeks always have a soft pink blush to them. Although she is very pretty, the clothes she wears are quite plain so she does not seem to get noticed much or stand out. Usually she is seen in her military uniform (a tan shirt and trousers with knee-high boots) or a dress.

Man up or I'll beat you with my peace prize!
✓Chocolate and waffles: Belgium is addicted to chocolate bars and chocolate waffles. She is nearly always seen munching on a bar at work, home (etc). Waffles are also her favourite comfort food, so if she is feeling a bit down it is the first thing she’ll turn to for cheering herself up. She likes "gourmet treats" in general, actually.
✓Jazz music: She knows how to play the saxophone and will play it when she’s got free time.
✓Comics: She loves comic books, a secret passion of hers. She hates it when people say that comic books are for children. Tintin is her favourite series.
✓Animals: Be it cats or rabbits, so long as it's cute and fluffy Belgium's heart will melt.
✓Beer: She knows that her Belgian beer is the best, and will often spend time at the local bars enjoying a pint... or more...
Dislikes:
✗Being ignored: Belgium is a small country, however she knows that she is powerful (being one of the founding members of the EU) and it really irritates her when she is forgotten.
✗Hangovers: ...Maybe that extra pint to drink had been a bad idea, ja? Enough said.
✗"Nastiness": Belgium hates it when she thinks her brother is being "mean" to people, and would rather everyone would just get along!
✗Being stuck indoors: Belgium would rather be outside, cycling or just enjoying nature.
✗Formalities: Belgium's bubbly personality means she'd much rather be on personal terms with people. To her, being formal just feels so fake.
Strengths:
+Belgium is very protective of her friends and family, and will try her best to leave nobody behind. She is also very compassionate and is a great listener.
+Despite her chirpy, girly attitude, Belgium is a lot braver than she makes out to be, and will put up a very good fight when needed.
+Belgium is strong willed and will always stand up for her beliefs.
+Belgium is a trustworthy women who will do all she can to keep your trust and stay loyal to you. Also, her bubbly personality means she often knows how to improve a situation and cheer others up when they're feeling down.
Weaknesses:
-She is far too trustworthy. Always trying to see the good in people means that sometimes she’ll be blind to people’s true colours. She can't say no to people, and may get walked over.
-Belgium takes things far too seriously, and so can get hurt easily by even the tiniest thing.
-Belgium is far too open, and will often blab about private matters. This can get her in a lot of trouble later on.
-She is slightly naive sometimes, and so either over or under-estimates people.
Fears:
~Abandonment- Belgium is worried that she might be forgotten and left alone.
~England's food: ...Especially when he goes and ruins her waffles.
~Claustrophobia: Belgium has a fear of tight, enclosed spaces. That is why she loves being outside, where there is plenty of freedom.
Secrets:
•Belgium has a crush on Spain. She won't admit it, but it's fact.
•She's still a little cautious of Germany and hasn't fully forgiven him of invading her twice.
•Belgium loves cartoons and comics. The Smurfs, TinTin, they're Belgian and she's proud of them! Even if they are for kids.
Any Quirks/Habits: Belgium cannot leave the house without her famous hairband. Usually she wears a red ribbon in her hair, but sometimes she goes for green or black... any colour you can think of. She has different hairbands to go with different outfits. Also, Belgium tends to be seen a lot of the time munching on a chocolate bar. She always seems to have one handy in her handbag or on her person.
Overall Personality: Belgium is a mature woman with a cheerful personality, who comes across as very sweet. She is very open to people and has a kind, trustworthy heart. Belgium always tries to see the good in people, no matter who they are. She is also willing to help people as much as she can and spread a bit of kindness, which sometimes makes her seem like a bit of a push-over. This bubbly personality may make her come across as annoying or a bit of an air-head, but Belgium really doesn't care what other people think about her chirpiness.
However, do not think she is totally innocent. When angered she will not hold back and can become quite rude and frightening, losing her sweet personality and becoming incredibly fierce. She is willing to stand up for herself, her beliefs and put up a fight. In that respect she is very strong willed. Belgium is also quite strict and slightly stubborn, refusing to back down or change her mind. Sometimes Belgium may come across as fussy or picky (even demanding) if she does not get her way, although, she does not mean to be malicious. She’s just a strong-willed woman who knows what she wants. And there’s nothing wrong with knowing what you want, ja?
Belgium is rarely seen not smiling, and she always tries her best to keep everyone else as upbeat as possible. But, she will often get hurt easily by the smallest things. If she is upset, she will try to cover it up and not make a big deal about it. She doesn’t really like being the centre of attention, and people fussing over her makes her feel awkward. In spite of this, Belgium does try to be as outgoing as she can, because she loves being surrounded by friends. Although she is a very sociable person, sometimes Belgium feels quite lonely. She will never admit this to anyone, as the idea of revealing that she isn’t constantly bright embarrasses her in a way.
Belgium is extremely hardworking, even if paper-work can be a bit of a bore. She is incredibly serious about her duties as a nation, and is often found busying herself with work for the EU and doing the best she can for her boss. Work is important for her, and she will refuse to get distracted when she’s meant to be doing business. This makes her a very focused person, and once she has a goal in mind she will work and work until she reaches it.
One thing Belgium has a problem with is when she considers people are being mean to each other. She finds it incredibly awkward and uncomfortable, so will constantly stick her nose in to try and fix any messes others have caused. This makes her come across as nosey and interfering, however she'll insist she's not trying to get gossip out of a situation... Then again, sometimes there might be more than trying to fix a problem, and juicy stories with friends does seem to be a favourite thing of Belgium's.
Although she dresses quite plainly, making her easily unnoticed, Belgium is very feminine compared to some of the other female nations. She would rather not be getting into fights or trying to act tough all the time (even though she can easily hold her own) like some of the others and this might make her seem a little wimpy. Her innocent demeanour means she comes across as being scared all the time, however she really is quite strong after some of the things she’s been through in her past. She can be easily angered, or hurt, if insulted in anyway, and will not go lightly on whoever it was who upset her.

(Taken from Manor of Fate)
Breathing hitched and heavy as forest green eyes darted around in the darkness, Belgium took a tentative step forward. Her heart was pounding in her ears and a cold sweat was prickling the back of her neck. The blonde woman wrapped her trembling fingers around the cold, metal hilt of the gun hidden in her basket and tightly gripped onto it, as though it was the only comfort she had right now.
“Hello?” Emma called out into the silent black, desperately hoping she wasn’t alone. She did not want to be in the alone dark. “Is anybody here?”
The female nation took another carful step ahead as she swallowed thickly. It was too dark. Far too dark. What if someone else was there? Only... not someone she wanted to be there...
Belgium quickly shook her head and stopped, hissing to herself under her breath.
“Don’t be stupid, Bel. You need to get a-hold of yourself!” she muttered quietly, her face twisting into a look of disappointment and her cowardly behaviour. “You’re worrying yourself too much. You’re going to be fine.”
Letting out a deep breath, she span on her heels and marched back in the direction she’d came, her eyes scanning the area for any other signs of life, light or a way out. Belgium strode forward with an apparent air of confidence about her, even though she was still clutching onto the gun in her basket.
Creak...
Emma froze, her pupils becoming dilated as her eyes widened again. What was that? Without a second thought, the Belgian woman swiftly pulled out her gun and twisted round; firing a shot in the direction the noise had come from. After a few moments of silence, the only noise being her heavy breathing, Belgium slowly lowered her smoking weapon and narrowed her eyes. Something definitely wasn’t right. In a flash, she took to her heels and sprinted as fast as she could back, hopefully, towards the exit. Adrenalin was pumping wildly through her body as “fight or flight” instincts took a hold of her, sending her dashing away as though her life depended on it. She needed to get out of here!
