But, until that person shows interest first, then nothing can be done for any sort of relationship. As for said relationships, she's mentally taken (in her own, sad little way) but is completely open for anything that you think could work. After all, she is a desperate person and will cling tightly to anyone who shows her affection. She's more than willing to try and get her feelings for Matt off her mind but she will always end up resorting back to her loyalty for him, so anything particularly longterm is out of the question. And if we ever get a Matt, I'll love you forever if you'd be willing to work off this somehow, even if it's just Matt completely denying AK, I'm cool with that. But seriously, if you, whoever you may be, are actually open to a relationship between them, I will cry happy tears. America and Alaska

So...we've already discussed this considerably. She hates him, and it looks like the only person (...well, nation) she might hate more than him is Russia, for selling her off in the first place.

The way I see it, especially since it goes with the already established canon you have for Shtiya (I think...correct me if I'm wrong), is that Alfred purchases her as territory from Ivan and doesn't interact with her much until she actually becomes a state in 1959.

By then, though, it's far too late to make up for the fact that he all but ignored her for almost a century.

So yeah, Alfred tries to be on good terms with all of his states, but it sounds like Shtiya will be a HUGE obstacle to this plan. How do I think Alfred will deal with this? By annoying the crap out of her, of course! He's not really one to take no for an answer, so he's just going to keep poking at her to try to get her to crack, which will probably only annoy her more by the looks of it...

Ah, this should be fun. XD

Michigan and Alaska

Not as certain on these two. I figure they would at least have met a handful of times, given that they're both states and...I don't know if states have meetings like nations or not. 0_o Anyway, I would assume they would have met at least a few times.

How they'd get along is a little harder to figure out...

Now, I don't see them getting along like best friends, though I can't think of a reason why they would outright hate each other either. Bah, I dunno. I just thought I'd toss her in here since they're both states and there's plotting potential there.

Alaska and Alfred
fff oh Al, you're going to end up with a spear in your foot. xD Yes this is going to make for some interesting plots~ I also say eventually, with or without a Matt, we need to rp the Battle of Attu and Kiska because oh no! the Japanese are invading! and that's like at the main peak of her frustrations, right before she becomes a state. xD

Alaska and Michigan
Yeah, I could see AK tolerating her but, AK just hates to associate herself with the states in general so she really hates to have to befriend any of them. god, she's such a crotchety bitch! but yeah, I don't think there'd be much aggression, if any, there. xD They can bond over the cold or something!

RHODE ISLAND and ALASKA

Dislike. Reina treats states in a specific way. She sees states that remained loyal during the civil war and were the original states as above the others. Then in order, comes the loyal states (not original) in the civil war, the new states that were not around at the time of the civil war, the neutral states during the civil war, and last and most hated is the states that sided with the confederacy. Naturally, Alaska falls under the ‘new states that were not around during the civil war”. This means Reina would not actively try to get along with Shtiya and given Shtiya’s personality, this means neither likes the other. Reina thinks she is above Shtiya and I don’t see that sitting well.

HAWAII and ALASKA

Now, I would like to propose an exception to the whole “not friends with states” rule you have for Shtiya. Leilani was captured against her will as a US territory and wasn’t acknowledged as a state until after WWII. She dealt with that Pearl Harbour bull shit as a result of being US own and didn’t even have the full rights of a state. She DESPISED Alfred before Pearl Harbour and afterward she started to get along better with him. She doesn’t adore him like many of the states, but she isn’t on bad terms with him. Having been wronged like that, I think these two could get along. They are away from the mainland states and neither got the light of day from Alfred for a long time. Their friendship would be slightly strained in recent years but I can’t see Lani shoving anything in her face or expecting Shtiya to like Alfred. What do you think the chances are of this?
