Xiao Mei STRANGE MAZE, WHAT IS THIS PLACE? i hear voices over my shoulder NOTHING'S MAKING SENSE AT ALL. Xiao Mei is a very spirited, independent young woman. She's brave, intelligent, witty and will stand up for what she believes in. She can be a bit naive and can sometimes make decisions too quickly without thinking them through, but for the most part she's a pretty rational person.
WONDER, WHY DO WE RACE? when everyday we're runnin' in circles SUCH A FUNNY WAY TO FALL. Mei is fiercely loyal to her friends and people she loves. She hates being made out as stupid. She's a fun girl, very good at masking her true feelings and able to have a good time with anyone no matter how she really feels. She can, occasionally, come off as cold and reserved, but also confident with herself when she isn't.

Anything you'd like to do in particular? I guess we could see if China wants in as well, too.

But, heck, life goes on. She holds respect and adoration to Taiwan as she has on China (though, unlike her devoted loyalty to the country, Taiwan is a little bit less, but not less enough for her to be prude). Maybe she still look up from her (sometimes), and can pretty much hangs out with her and try with all the chinese fashion here and there. Maybe arguements here and there from time to time, but at the end of the day Taiwan and Shanghai will still be good somewhere.
Well... unless, of course, Taiwan starts to scold on China again, but Shanghai's just a municipality and can't do diddly squat about family matters. Figures.
Ten cents of thoughts or anything to add? [/style] |

I imagine Mei was just as sad to leave Shanghai, but she felt like it was necessary. In those beginning years, I don't think Mei wanted to interact with her much. She was nursing a pretty huge loss. (What with her older brother being unreasonable and such). But, I imagine now they're really close friends. Taiwan pictures Shanghai like a younger sister that she takes out all the time so long as Yao has no idea.

Of course, the time they didn't talk to each other was indefinite mostly because Chen was told to keep her distance as one of China's successful cities, but I suppose she doesn't have hard feelings for the nation. You know, she have no other choice, gotta follow master Yao and all the stuff.
And, yeah, as long as Yao doesn't know, I think Chen doesn't mind being dragged with Mei Jie jie. [/style] |
[atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=vAlign,top][atrb=style, width: 300px; background-color: FFFFF7; border-right: 1px dashed #333333; border-left: 1px dashed #333333;][style=padding: 10px; background-color: #333333; text-align: center; color: #f0f0f0; text-transform: uppercase; font-family: georgia; font-size: 22px;]♔ OKINAWA & TAIWAN[/style][style=background-color: fffff7; padding: 20px; color: #333333; font-family: arial; font-size: 9px; line-height: 95%; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/5o6Ig.png); text-align: justify;]Being the prefecture closest to Taiwan, I figured that Mei and Hourai might know each other. To also justify the fact, Okinawa- as Ryukyu Island once upon a time- was under China back then and most likely the two would have known each other back then as acquaintances.
Regarding their relationship, Okinawa's pretty relaxed with Mei around and doesn't seem to let herself too cooped up inside her home compared to back then before WWII. Of course, she'll appear and entertain Taiwan, but then she'll go back to her 'hermit' status, as the thread describes her to be. XDD Still, I'm pretty sure she and Mei would go along quite fine.
Ten cents? [/style] |

Post by ERIN "IRELAND" PATRICK on Apr 30, 2013 11:10:36 GMT -5
IRELAND and TAIWAN
This one is difficult to determine. I can’t be sure how Mei will take this, but politically Ireland doesn’t recognize Taiwan as anything more than as the “Taiwan Province” in tha Taiwan Issue. They see it as a section of China and nothing more. Depending on how Mei views that could determine a lot in terms of their relationship. Do you see this as being a difficulty in any possible good relations they could have?
As it is their personalities do not mesh well either. Mei is rational where Erin is heavily irrational. Mei uses her mind to think, Erin acts on her emotions instead. I can’t see them getting along. In fact, I can see Mei irritating Erin if it came to it.
