I Feel Like We're Summoning The Devil
Nickname/Alias: Kolya, Nikolasha (Only used intimately), Nika (Don't. You. Dare.), Kolyan, Miensk, Niko (Usually by western countries.)
Gender: Male
Character Type: Capital
Country or Country of Origin: Belarus
Canon or Original: Original

When I look into all of your stupid faces
I think how fun it will be to pound them into dust
Hair: Platinum
Height and Weight: 182.88 cm, 68 kg
Other Distinguishing Features: He always wears his long coat, except for on the hottest of days. It's almost impossible to get him to smile.
Overall Appearance:
Nikolai is of an average height, as far as the male nations go. He is rather lean, with a body more suited to activities like running rather than body building, unlike several of the other Slavic personifications such as Russia and Serbia. Despite this, he is in outstanding physical shape, though his body is almost always hidden by a rather old coat with fur trimming that dates back to the beginning of the Soviet Union. On most days, his face either shows an uninterested passiveness or a look of annoyance. In many ways, he looks very similar to his Country, to the point that some have confused him for her twin.

Man up or I'll beat you with my peace prize!
- Belarus. She is his Country. He would do anything for her.
- Lithuania. He doesn't act particularly fond towards him, but he always treated Belarus and him well when they were under his rule.
- Vodka. He's the capital of a Slavic nation. Kind of a no brainer.
- Parkour. It's the reason he's built like he is.
- Rock. Blame America.
- Knives. He's got a rather impressive collection, and always seems to have at least one on him.
- His coat. It was a gift to him from Belarus when he became her Capital. It is his most prized possession.
- Cleanliness. He's a perpetual neat freak. Many tourists say that Minsk is the cleanest city they've seen in Europe.
- Sappy romance novels. Laugh and he'll kill you.
- Manga. He's got an intire shelf full of them.
Dislikes:
- Russia. Kind of a duel edged sword. While Russia can be a decent person to be around, at other times he's completely insufferable. He is Belarus' brother, not her master, and he has no right to act as such. Nikolai also isn't very happy with the fact that Russian is used in Belarusian schools instead of their own language.
- Germany. He will never forget that Germany's nation stabbed the Soviet Union in the back.
- Hot days. He can't wear his coat.
- Turkey. Man, f-ck Turkey.
- Poland. F-ck him too.
- Nuclear power. He recognizes the benefits, but the risks put him on edge.
- Being touched by people he doesn't know intimately.
- People who touch his knives.
Strengths:
- Free running. He's very good at it.
- Hand to hand combat. Both with knives and with his body.
- Legs. What with his martial arts capabilities and his love of parkour, Nikolai has ludicrously strong leg muscles.
- Marksmanship. No surprise, he's been using rifles for well over a century.
Weaknesses:
-Broke. As. Hell.
- While very physically capable, when it comes to brute strength, he just can't contend against heavy builty nations like Russia.
- As much as he hates to admit it, he has to depend on Russia to help keep Belarus' economy going.
Fears:
- That Russian culture will consume Belarus.
- Russia. Though he'll deny it, even to himself, he's worried. He's seen what Russia can do, and should he ever snap, he isn't sure he can protect Belarus from him.
Secrets:
- He can put away rather large portions of food for someone so lean. He chalks his amazing metabolism up to his constant free running.
- He didn't have a middle name untill 1917, when he became Belarus' capital and adopted her name.
- He will not take off his coat unless he absolutely has to.
- Part of the reason he is so loyal to Belarus is that after she became her own country, she still wanted him to be her Capital.
Any Quirks/Habits:
- He cannot stand uncleanliness, sometimes to the point of obsession. He once spent an entire month waxing the floors of the Kremlin by hand.
- He's a complete sucker for romance and drama. He actually cried at the end of Titanic, and he owns every single volume of the manga Stepping on Roses.
Overall Personality:
Minsk is very much like his Nation in that he can be very intimidating, and isn't the sort of person you'd want to meet alone in the dark. He is often silent, even grim, and rarely ever smiles for anyone but Natalya herself.
He is fiercely protective of his Nation, sometimes to the point of physical confrontations, even against Nations who could easily overpower him. He sincerely believes that it is his responsibility to care for and protect Natalya. While he would not consider himself obsessive over her, or even say he pines after her, Nikolai does admit to himself that part of him does love her as more than just his Country.
Nikolai is very untrusting towards many, even towards other Slavics. However, those who have treated him well do have his respect. Lithuania, in particular, was always a very good ruler. America was there to help him and Belarus adjust after the Soviet Union ended, not to mention he taught them how to rock out. He also has a fondness for Japan, or rather, his manga.
