THE FIELDS! THE FIELDS! Rye harvesting!
Friends, Family, and Love Interests
Latvia + Estonia=
Latvia and Estonia would be the best candidates for family for Lithuania. Even though their cultures are sufficiently different (Estonia’s more so than Latvia’s), I believe they became close through the colossal amount of time they spent together.
Poland=
With Poland, the situation is complicated. Before, during the Commonwealth, Lithuania considered him his best friend. However, the Vilnius Dispute really changed that. No one wants their heart literally stolen by their best friend, right? So, his behavior towards Po changes drastically in the 1920’s.
Russia=
Russia is another difficult one. Lithuania understands that Russia has gone through a rough and tragic upbringing and that his insanity wasn’t his own fault. However, Russia does have a tendency to injure Lithuania, sometimes without even knowing it, so Lithuania is rather afraid of him.
Belarus=
Belarus is the love of Lithuania’s life. He raised her in a way, and was married to her for all of 9 months. These feelings are unrequited. Lithuania has gotten various parts of himself broken or stabbed in attempts to talk to her. In earlier days, their relationship might have been warmer, who knows?
America=
America was the promised land and a safe haven for Lithuania during the Roaring Twenties. Liet worked at America’s as a housekeeper and enjoyed it a whole lot.
Tony, America’s pet alien, seemed to take a shining to Lithuania during his time as a housekeeper. He went so far as to beam Lithuania up randomly because “Liet (was) spending too much time with the whale.”
THIS ISN'T CHESS ANYMORE! IT'S A ONE-SIDED MATCH!
Enemies and Those Who Need to Be Avoided
Prussia =
Prussia was quite the heretic hunter in his day. Being the only remaining, and largest, pagan country, Lithuania was assaulted by him very often. One of the reasons that Lithuania joined Poland was to get Prussia off his back. Lithuania becoming Catholic did not seem to deter Prussia from his goal though. Until the battle of Tannenberg (where Prussia was dealt humiliating defeat) , there was a large number of Prussian attacks to Lithuanian and Polish lands.
France =
Does this even need to be explained? France was never really on good terms with Lithuania, and he’s a huge perv. I think that more or less settles it.
I'm detecting some murderous intent..?
Others
Lithuania is wary of those whom he is not very familiar with. If he does not find a person likeable, he will distance himself from them, treating them politely but coolly. It takes a long time for him to trust. To those who he accepts as friends he is loyal until the end, though. Even after many years, he will still keep the same feelings about a person unless they very openly betray them. Lithuania does not take betrayal well. All the happiness and trust he held for the person will be transformed into hate.
