It was another streak of win, but there's no surprise since it's expected for someone like her to be this good with gambling; roulette, cards, panchinko, slot machines, you name it! Of course, it wouldn't be that apt if she can't do these kind of gaming vices like a pro despite her youthful-like visage, but she doesn't really give much of a second look on it. Well, there's no complaints so far, so might as well go on and give it another round.
"Give it another round!" The pale-haired female, giving a jovial wave of a hand as the dealer decided to deck out the cards once more for another round of poker. As soon as she got her cards, the scarlet-eyed female shifted her gaze around, reading their faces as she took a peek to her own, a smirk appearing on her face. Lady luck's definitely on her side once again, otherwise she would have gave up minutes ago and stomp off to the slot machine to pass off some steam. Give it a few whacks or so, she claimed one time, things would have been better.
Of course, hanging around the casino on her own wasn't the same as having to drag someone, but with how popular this place is since it is located in the heart of Las Vegas, who's going to blame who? Certainly not the embodiment of Las Vegas, herself- Angela Chase- but nobody around here knows that little info, right?
So far. Post by Johnny "New York" Amsterdam on Dec 10, 2012 2:26:02 GMT -5
Every once in a while, something especially bad happened in New York, anything that hit 'State of Emergency' level usually meant that Johnny was all over it, as he was just so hands on when it came to just about every aspect of his state if given the chance. Even when he wasn't given a chance actually, the man found a way to get in it, he had always been that way and probably always would be. The super storm that had slammed into him and Jersey among a few others was one of those state of emergency examples. He had been out in the streets clearing trees and debris off the roads by hand when he had to.
He did everything he possibly could to help Long Island out, most of it wasn't there any more at this point, and a lot of the houses that were needed to be demolished. But the ones that had survived, and even in neighborhoods lower then that, a month later they were still without power. A month with no electricity, no running water, no heat during the snow storm that had followed after, Johnny had exploded on the electric company like a bomb, having one of his infamous fits where he started picking cars up and throwing them and ripping street signs out of the concrete to destroy more things with them.
So the bosses had all concluded that he needed a vacation before he tore the entire building off the foundation, and at first he wasn't sure where he would go since he was essentially being kicked out of his own state. And then it came to him, he couldn't remember the last time he had paid Angela a visit, though he remembered that they had spent a good week or so wrapped up in each other, as was the usual when he was around. He did like her, Johnny wasn't lying about that, she was pretty damn great, but he was terrible with relationships, and that was why he always ended up leaving the way he did.
Getting to Vegas, he checked into the Luxor hotel as it had always been his favorite, and spent a good hour or so walking around looking for the personification herself, dodging advances from women and the occasional men, some a lot more tempting then others, but none were the prize he was looking for. Eventually he spotted her, the light hair and bunny ears were always a tell, cleaning house in a game of cards and Johnny had to chuckle to himself as he watched her go. Giving her a minute to win the next hand Johnny came up behind her and draped an arm over her shoulder, kissing her cheek as he did so, "Ya know Angela, given' you are who ya are, some folks might think your cheatin," He tsked with a chuckle, "So how ya doin' sweets? I figure I'd stop in and visit,"

[/style][style=font-family:tahoma; font-size:10px; color:#F3E5AB; padding:10px; text-align:justify;]Another clean sweep and Angela was on the roll. Of course, she's Las Vegas, she can't loose to these people otherwise her reputation would be all for naught. She have to prove to them that she can give- and receive- good luck and this is what she's very good at. Not everyone's fortunate in the 'Sin City'; one minute, they're on the top of the world and the next- Snap!- it's gone like the smoke. They may, or may not, blame her for all of their luck-related incidents here, but she got her hands clean since she's merely a personification and all these things are all their doing.
Sad, though, since she used to be something else back then especially before Nevada was taken by America.
Then again, it wasn't before she felt arms wrapping around her shoulders that she knew Lady Luck REALLY did grant her a very good shindig right now, cheeks flushed and smile very much evident on her mouth at the voice that greeted her. It was a surprise, though, that Johnny would drop by and visit, but when he do the male always looks for her first before anything else. Sure, their relationship is anything but stable- it's an on-and-off thing, too complicated, but that's to expect to the embodiments of places- but when they do, then there's no strings attached to it. Why is he here, however, boggles her since he's suppose to fix something about his place after the horrible Hurricane Sandy. Then again, knowing his somewhat-temperamental personality, maybe she rather not ask what he had done.
"You're such a tease," Angela crooned, a giggle escaping her mouth as she turned around to return his affectionate greeting with a chaste kiss before turning back to the table. "Lady luck's just merciful in today's card games, no strings attached!" She said, cracking her knuckles and ready for another round. "Give me this one and we'll spend someplace else you fancy after this round, okay?" Of course, everyone knows that she can't deny another round of a game, especially if she's having a winning streak. Besides, as soon as she's done, she can just hand the cash to some fellow lacking any luck in the slots out of generosity; that's how she rolls!
"Doing fine, I guess. Still the norm, but I'm surprise to see you here of all the places. Aren't you suppose to be back in your state, doing some repairing?" True, New York is not her state, but she is pretty concern about Johnny at some point, and she would do the same at even Nevada, or anyone else close to her.
