Alfred expected Arthur to be upset about the destruction of the tea. All of that tea, washed away into the Atlantic. As far as Alfred was concerned, though, Arthur brought it upon himself. He didn't let up on the tea tax even though it was requested. When the colonists boycotted the tea, he refused to take a hint and still sent ships over carrying tea. The ships sat in the harbor, wasting space, as officials refused to return the tea. Well, if the tea was just going to sit there, they might as well do something with it, right? They weren't about to drink it, but they weren't against having a nice little tea party. When Arthur found out, he was livid. Actually, livid was putting it lightly. The man was absolutely furious, and instantly implemented a punishment for the colony. He was to remain under house arrest. Apparently no longer trusting the boy to keep to this on his own, he ordered several guards to keep watch over Alfred and the home. It was Alfred's turn to be livid. Guards? Arthur was assigning guards to him in his own home? Arthur still thought the house to be his, of course, but Alfred's own views on the matter were changing. A home was something that was lived in, right? Well, Arthur hardly ever lived in this home. It wasn't until recently that he even stepped foot in this house on a regular basis. So how could this be Arthur's home? Alfred spent far more time in it, and it wasn't as though he was a helpless child anymore who needed watching over. It seemed as though Arthur thought differently, and that annoyed Alfred immensely. The colony paced around in his bedroom. Several weeks had passed, and Alfred was growing stir crazy. He preferred to be in here rather than elsewhere in the building, because at least his 'chaperones' seemed to accept that this room was his personal space. Not one guard stepped foot in the colony's bedroom. Too bad the concept didn't extend to the rest of the house. Alfred looked out his window briefly. He wondered what was happening out there. Was the city of Boston filled to the brim with British soldiers the way his house was? If so, he didn't expect the colonists...his colonists (and yes he dared to call them that, Arthur be damned) to take that laying down. The thought brought a small smile to his face. The smile faded though as he recalled his surroundings, and he sighed, taking a seat on his bed. He began to hum, his humming eventually giving way into words. It was a song he'd read in a paper he received during his house arrest. "As near beauteous Boston lying, on the gently swelling flood." Alfred paused when he heard an knock at the door, followed by an annoyed grumble. "Would you stop with that infernal racket in there?" Alfred snorted. If anything, that was only going to spur him on. He didn't like this one bit, and he was going to make sure that the guards invading his home were made perfectly aware of this! "Without jack or pendant flying, Three ill-fated tea-ships rode." He heard annoyed mutters from outside the door. The grin on his face grew as he continued singing, louder still. "Just as glorious Sol was setting, on the wharf, a numerous crew. Sons of freedom, fear forgetting, suddenly appeared in view. " By now he had almost a mad grin on his face. He opened his mouth to continue singing when he suddenly heard a noise outside of his window. Gage had been taken completely by surprise when news from Massachusetts reached him. He hadn't been expecting a move like that, although he damn well supported and approved of it, and being so far south meant it took him a good while to hear about it.

The colony, fueled by all the stories and things he was hearing, sprung into action. He packed himself a couple changes of clothes, money, and some food. Charleston to Boston was near one thousand miles, one way, so it was the money he'd need to rely on.

Instructions were given immediately after Gage planned his departure. The instructions were essentially on the care of his many animals, and to keep the house clean in his absence. The young colony did his best to look inconspicuous. Hard, with his penchant for classy clothes and his long hair, but doable, with some borrowed work clothing and a hat.

He set off as soon as he could, going so far as to saddle his horse himself. Gage fell relatively easily into the routine of riding from sunup to sundown, with stops only to buy food, sleep, and let his horse rest. Of course, he grew aggravated by the routine relatively quickly, falling to cursing and muttering that there better be some appreciation in this for him. Gage wasn't patient at the best of times, and the excruciatingly long ride was enough to make him want to crack his head off of something.

By the end of the week his legs were covered in saddle sores, his muscles aching, unaccustomed to the long ride. He felt grimy, without frequent baths, and damn if he wasn't tempted to chop off his hair. It got in his way a lot, especially with the wind. But he wasn't going to cut it, not really. He was rather fond of his long hair, regardless of hos aggravating it was.

After two and a half weeks of agonizingly long journey, the colony finally, -finally- made it to Boston. Of course, at that point he was thoroughly fed up with riding and just about anything he could complain about. Not that anyone was around to listen.

His horse was exhausted, so Gage paid for lodging at a fairly nice inn, handing his horse off to the care of the stable boys. And then, well, then he had to walk to Alfred's house, still grumbling. It was his job to make people's live difficult. Was it that hard to understand?

Of course, once the house was in site the southern colony knew something was up. Nothing really looked off, it was more of a gut feeling. After all, he doubted Eyebrows would take this act of 'treason' lying down, without giving punishment. A bit of thought and he went with his best plan; make some noise outside Alfred's window. If something was up, well, hey, he wouldn't get in trouble, and if everything was fine, Gage could pull the 'Official pain' card.

“Y'all better appreciate me riding all the way here from Charleston!” He yelled up at Alfred when he made an appearance, raising his voice as loud as he dared.

Travelling did kind of suck currently, and he did wish there was a better way, but really since he wasn’t going all that far he had no issue with riding there by horseback. Thus, when he heard that Alfred had been locked in his room as a form of grounding he and a few of the other states seemed to decide that breaking him out was necessary. After all, if Alfred wanted to be rebellious, his states would certainly help him do so. Whether all the colonies would show up or not was yet to be seen, but at least they had a time and date to meet on that left them enough time to get there to meet up and figure out what they were going to do about the lockdown. Well, of course they would break him out, but it was just a matter of how. After all, he was sure that there would be caretakers to deal with seeing as they wouldn’t just ground him then leave him on his own. It would be quite stupid after all seeing as then he could just leave whenever he wanted and the entire point would be lost. That, and he didn’t really think that England was that stupid, sure trying to put down their rebellion was dumb, but the man was probably just trying to retain control over them. If he was just leaving Alfred on his own after grounding him, though it would be astronomically stupid, and thus he was accounting for the fact that they might have to either sneak past some guards, or even push through them. The teenage looking state rode into town and parked his horse in a stable before heading out towards Alfred’s house. He whistled a song he found in the paper after the tea party, and was blissfully unaware that Alfred was singing it to annoy his guards. As he got closer he could see, and hear, another state that he recognized and rolled his eyes when he realized that the state was whining about the trop he had to make. ”You didn’t have to come ya’know so do us all a favor and shove it fer once Gage. This ain’t about yeh, it’s about freein’ Alfred.” he pointed out once he reached the other state. ”Besides, I’m willin’ ta bet that nobody else can ‘ear ya, bein’ that yer the first one ‘ere and all ya twit.” he noted pointedly. Now, hopefully that would get his point across, and he could enjoy some peace while they came up with a plan. Well, really someone should have probably come up with a plan by now, but that wasn’t the point. It was the thought of them all showing up that counted, and once they got together maybe they could figure something out, and so instead he just waved up at Alfred. ”We’ll get’cha out Alfred, they can’t tell us what t’do.” he said with a grin up at his nation. Johnny had heard about the business in Massachusetts, after all word traveled through the colonies rather quickly, especially through the Sons of Liberty connection between Boston and New York City, and if he had to be honest, he was just kinda miffed that he hadn't been sent an invitation to the party. But either way he felt Al was in the right, of course he did, after all Arthur didn't want to listen when they said the taxes where getting ridiculous, didn't want to stop shipping that crap tea over, didn't want to do something about those eyebrows......Johnny really had never been the elder country's biggest fan, he had actually kind of liked the Dutch and the last name York just sucked.

Granted Johnny was the type of kid that always seemed to be starting a ruckus about something, long standing skirmishes were common in New York between the soldiers and the Sons, almost ten years worth now over the Liberty Poles. He had a long standing tradition of starting fights with British soldiers now just because he didn't like them, so when he got the news that Al needed help getting out of his room because those lobster coated bastards had him confined to it, Johnny had saddled up his favorite old horse and left without another moments notice, only taking the time to make sure a maid was watching over Theo while he was gone.

The ride up to Mass had taken a little longer then he would have liked, but he loved a good ride and so didn't mind it as much, though his horse probably had a few compliments for being pushed so hard. He left the horse tied in a stable not too far away to rest and get some water, sneaking the rest of the way onto the estate and stalking up to the growing groups of colonies, guided by the sound of South Carolina's big mouth, and getting there just in time to catch New Jersey's snark. It was true, but still a bit on the mean side, so striding up beside Jayden and extending an arm to smack him upside the head once, "Ain't no need for all dat," He said to his neighbor.

"And dere aint no need for all dat whining either, you're gonna get us all caught," He shot Gage a look before tilting his head up to look at the window Al was currently looking out of, "Don't suppose anyone's got a ladder or nothin' right?" Having an actual plan probably would have been a good idea, but he was sure they could put their heads together and figure something out. Maybe. Hopefully. If all else failed then maybe Al could just jump out and they could catch him, or maybe break into the house and get him out and potentially make everything worse, at least he'd be able to punch a Red Coat in the face that way.

She was a state, their state, but couldn’t tell them that and unless she really felt like kicking some heads in to get her point across, she was kind of stuck most of the time. At least she had managed to acquire some guy’s clothes finally that fit her well enough, and that she could layer correctly without it looking weird, and thus could pass as a boy. Really, now that she had the clothes and they fit right, she wouldn’t have to wear the stupid frilly skirts anymore maybe. She hated them, and they always got in her way and thus ended up ripping and needing repaired. It was more trouble than it was worth, and so it was easier for her to just wear boy clothes, especially being that she lived on a fruit farm of sorts. You can’t go around picking fruits and wandering through spine covered fruit plants in a dress, it was just asking to get caught on something. Anyway, she had heard about what happened up in Massachusetts through the press, and was curious as to what Alfred was really up to. Then she heard he was being locked in his room and that there was going to be some sort of rescue attempt. Well, she was going to go help in any way she could. Really, she knew how the states were, and quite a few of them could be very argumentative at times. She wondered if all of them would show up. If that was the case, then she might need some sort of way to shut them all up. She’d worry about that when she got there though, and hey maybe they were all getting along for once, and maybe Alfred would sprout wings and fly himself out the window for a rescue. Yeah, it didn’t seem likely, and so she had saddled up and decided to make the trip up north to Massachusetts. It wasn’t too bad of a trip, but she kind of live in the western side of her state, so it was a little longer than it could have been if she was stationed on the eastern side. Ah well, she could always get another place eventually if she needed to, but she did rather like where she was currently, and thus had picked it based on that. Once she arrived she put her horse in a stable before wandering her way over to Alfred’s house. Already she could hear some vague bickering, and arrived in time to see New Jersey get smacked upside the head. He probably said something without thinking about it again and she just shook her head at the boys in front of her, though really she looked like one herself at the moment. ”Fighting already?” she asked them with a sigh. Then there was the question of if they had a ladder or something with them. ”I imagine not, but the inn might let us borrow a ladder or some rope if we asked nicely. Or, since they probably already heard you bickering, we could just walk in and see what happens. A grin came across his face immediately. "Gage!" He called out in his excitement, waving at once. "Gage? Gage what?" Oh right, there were guards everywhere in the house. He might want to lower his voice if he wanted to continue with this conversation and not get anyone else put under house arrest. Alfred decided that his best bet was to continue singing. "Armed with hammers, axes, and chisels, weapons new for warlike deed. Towards the herbage-freighted vessels, they approached with dreadful speed." He called out in the same tune as before. The guards quickly forgot Alfred's other outburst in favor of this one, and Alfred was free to talk to Gage once more. In a quieter voice this time, of course. As it turned out, though, in the moment of distraction, another figure had joined Gage on the ground. This was even better. With just Alfred and Gage, they stood a better chance than if it was just Alfred, but the more the merrier! "Glad to see you could join us, Jayden." Alfred told the newcomer with a smile. Jayden's words helped to feed the already raging fire within Alfred, and he started to sing out once more so that the guards wouldn't get too suspicious. "O'er their heads aloft in mid-sky, three bright angel forms were seen. This was Hampden, that was Sidney, with fair Liberty between." He had to chuckle when he heard one of the guards grumbling on the other side of the door. Did they really expect him to take this sitting down? They could put an end to this just by leaving him be in his own house. But they weren't, so they were going to face the consequences. Arthur was going to learn that his swarms of men were not welcomed in Boston, or he would die trying. Alfred had to cover his mouth to keep from chuckling at Johnny's appearance. He frowned a little as he realized that no one present had a plan - Himself included. However, he also felt a twitch of excitement go through his being. Not having a plan meant that they'd have to take a lot more risks. This could go absolutely terrible, true - but it could also prove to be a blast. "There's a ladder off to the side of the house, if you're careful. This place is swimming with Regulars." The blond grinned and nodded a hello to Penny when he saw her walk up, shrugging a little at her suggestion. "Or the four of you could just walk in...I wouldn't object to that either." A small grin came across Alfred's face as he started to sing once more. "'Soon!' they cried 'your foes you'll banish, soon the triumph shall be won. Scarce shall setting Phoebus vanish, ere the deathless deed be done." He was ready to bust out, and was ready to do what he could to aid the efforts. Now he was not only singing to annoy the guards, but also in celebration. Gage scowled at Jayden, narrowing his eyes angrily. “Now yo' lissen hear, Yankee boy, ah rode fo' two weeks an' still got hear befo'e yer so'ry ass. Unlike yo' prissy No'therners, ah live a ways away an' no one told me t'come, be happy I've got th' sense t'know whut th' hell is gwine on. ” The southern state snapped. Indeed, he'd ridden up to Massachusetts with nothing but his own assumptions on what was going on to condone it. He was already grumpy from riding so long, and as much a kinship as there was with the other colonies, they pissed him off. Yes, he lived like a rich plantation owner's son, but he also worked. These Northerns had their fancy factories and cushy jobs, while he was out in the sun, all day, every day. Damn Northern Colonies.

His hands went up in pure exasperation when Johnny commented. “Of course, pick on me! Course yo' all'd stick togither .” Gage was not pouting. He was not being whiny because he was tired. He was fine. His scowl fell away when Penny walked up, instead bowing formally at the waist and offering a kind smile. “Nice t'see yo'. ” Let it not be said Gage had no manners. Jayden and Johnny just didn't deserve it. Penny, however, was not only a lady, and therefore deserving of respect, but also hadn't said anything nasty to him.

The gentle smile didn't last long. It curled slowly into a full out grin. Walk right in? There was an idea he could get behind. “Ah don't knows about y'all, but ah's gwine fo' opshun numbah two. Yo' haf a problem wif thet, take it up wif th' Bost-man,” He jerked a thumb in Alfred's direction, still grinning broadly. This idea, he liked this one. Not bothering to hold on for response, he only took the time to retrieve a thinner log from the woodpile around the side of the house before making a beeline for the front door. The log was liftable, slim enough he could heft and swing it, but heavy enough that it'd do the job.

Gage paused only to straighten his hat- easier with all that hair of his caught up under it, wouldn't get in the way in a fight- before he pushed the door open without premise. Really, it was probably stupid of him, to go barging in without the other colonies as backup. But Gage could handle himself, and hey, if he took initiative, they'd probably be quick to follow. He doubted they were thick enough to continue on with the ladder plan, when Gage was having so much more fun bashing Regular scum over the head.

The first guard didn't see it coming. Had his back to the door, was just turning to see who was walking into the house, when Gage hefted his make-shift weapon and swung it sharply. The blond's grin fell to a self-satisfied smirk at the sharp sound of wood meeting skull, the guard's noise of surprise, and subsequently going down like a sack of rocks. Gage clapped the heavy log against the flat of his palm a few times poised at the corner of the hall, waiting to see if anyone came to see what was going on. Gage didn't play dirty, there was no chivalry in cheating, but he'd damn well use stealth and surprise to his advantage if he could.

It kind of happened on a regular basis seeing as he never kept his mouth shut ever. Gage was now blathering about his ride and being a cranky whiney colony in New Jersey’s honest opinion. Really, he actually wasn’t even listening, and was far more concerned with waving to Alfred rather than listen to the other state complain or try to defend his whining. There was no excuse for whining ever, and so he just didn’t listen. ”Wah wah, shaddap before they hear us and chase us away.” he stated simply. Yeah, he honestly didn’t really care all that much about what he was saying, and had mostly tuned it out because it seemed like childish whining and nothing else. Then he was smacked upside the head by Johnny and pouted at the other state. ”Ow, that wasn’t very polite Johnny. I just got smacked upside the ‘ead how is’at stickin’ together?” he asked incredulously. Really it didn’t make much sense to him, but maybe because he wasn’t tired or really cranky in the slightest. He did ponder slightly what they would do once they did get Alfred out, and really who would he be staying with? The colony did suppose that Alfred could technically just stay with one of them or in the woods if he wanted, but it was up to him. He noted Penny walking up and whistled innocently when she asked if they were fighting already. He hadn’t started it or anything, never, he would not do such a thing. It wasn’t as if he said things to start arguments on purpose, he just was opinionated and usually shared such opinions. He pondered the suggestions for a plan for a moment before hearing Gage talk about how he was just going to bust in. Apparently he meant it too, because a moment later he was bursting in. Jay was almost tempted to not go in after him and let him get captured, but figured that would probably be rude. Alfred also probably would get mad at him for that, and so he sighed. ”I guess we need ta’ follow ‘im now. Prick.” he said with a frown. He would have much rather snuck around and took out as little guards as possible before fleeing. It felt like more of a win if they, who looked like a bunch of rambunctious kids, could sneak past guards to rescue their leader. Ah well, his hope of sneaking around was ruined, so he might as well join in. There were probably a number of people in the house, and thus they may be outnumbered. He was just kind of hoping this mission wouldn’t end up a horrible failure because of a certain colony wanting to go rushing in on his own first. Jayden was seriously pondering on picking a different entrance to regain the element of surprise. After all, they would focus on the front now that Gage had gone barging in, and so he wandered his way to the back. He carried knives around with him, so really if it came down to actual self-defense he would be fine, but really he was planning on just punching guards out and moving on. Or maybe he’d pick something up on his way through the house. He opened the back door and looked around finding nobody around initially. Jay found himself in the kitchen and had walked a ways into it before someone spotted him. The initial reaction he has was to pick up the closest item and throw it at whomever was in front of him. It happened to be a rolling pin, and apparently they hadn’t seen that coming because it kind of hit them in the face and suddenly that person was on the floor. Like I've been there before

Reina had arrived much earlier than the other states. Being only a state away had its benefits. The trip had been royally short and she had left as soon as she had heard that action was taking place in Boston. People often questioned a woman on the road alone, but Reina was sure to keep a few of the men from her household with her. Before long, her horse was stored safely and she was housed in a local establishment. Reina was not one to act without a plan, and she had realized she needed one when she first intended to go visit Alfred.

One look at the place and she knew something was wrong. Instead of continuing forward she had taken her time on surveillance of the place, trying to determine how many were watching the house, just how much freedom Alfred had and whether it was wise to call back up or go in alone. Of course, arrangements would be made and other states would come to bail him out. So Reina did what any great lady should know how to do...she waited. Patiently. For days. To the point where she wanted to smack the first person who showed up for taking so long!!!

Reina was heading over to the house to do her usual watching and waiting when from a distance she saw a small gathering of States. She lifted up her skirts and made quicker progress, aiming to join them. She walked up just as Gage and Jayden had walked away.

Reina would have opted for a much more classy approach. Infiltrate then bail Alfred out...that was more to her tastes. However, blunt force was not necessarily a bad idea either. Reina felt a huge desire to demand where the others had been and why they had kept her waiting, but instead she remembered her manners and greeted them first before asking after another curiosity. ”Hello. How is everyone? And where are those two off to in a hurry?”

[/b] She asked of the others, her appearance both very feminine and very classy. Reina wouldn’t hide that she was a woman. Instead she flaunted it with pride. No one would dare question she was a lady and damn well deserved to be treated like one.

She turned to look in one direction then the other before her eyes slid up to find Alfred. She couldn’t help the smile. ”I’ve been sure to keep an eye on you, though I am sure you have plenty other unwanted eyes for that. What do you think the chances are of a quick and quiet extraction?”[/b] she inquired, unaware that a much louder and more obnoxious extraction had already begun.

She loved the boy dearly, but you'd think he could have warned her that he was heading up north to where Alfred was upon the news of what happened. At the very least, he could have told her what happened, since he'd apparently heard the news earlier than she had! Fortunately the news did trickle down to her eventually, and she began her journey up north as soon as she heard. Also fortunately, she had a shorter journey than Gage, meaning she had less of a distance to travel before she told him off. Once she arrived she set up in Boston, making sure that she had a place to stay in case they didn't move out right away. She also asked around for her brother, and learned that he was making his way to the outskirts of Boston. She recognized the plan instantly, knowing that Alfred's home was in that direction. She saw a group already gathered outside of the home when she arrived, smoothing out the skirt of her dress as she dismounted from her horse and set him up in the stable along with the other horses. She then walked up to the group - a group that was notably different than when she first arrived. She recognized one newcomer to the group other than herself, as well as the disappearance of two others. She also recognized that one of those who disappeared happened to be her brother. Of course. She also heard a disruption coming from inside the house, to which she let out an exasperated sigh (though wore an amused expression on her face nonetheless). "Lemme guess, Gage rushed on in without checkin' to see if it was a good idea at first?" That would be just like Gage. She took a few steps toward the door with a snort. "Spose we better go after 'im. Don't want 'em to get knocked all cattywampus without us." She certainly didn't want her brother to have all of the fun. [/style]

Even now, early as it seemed, the Virginians were organizing and turning their attention toward Boston. It was enough to flare the spark that Nate had been harboring for quite some time and he couldn’t be more supportive of Alfred for his actions. Hearing about the news, Nate was quick to make the trip, readying his horse and packing only a few belongings.—Hell, he wanted to be close to the action! The first thing that Nate noticed upon arrival was the tension, so suffocating, so thick in Boston that it had apparently solidified into discipline—house arrest. Nathaniel almost wanted to laugh at that. What sort of punishment was that? Then again, what else could Arthur do? After making his trip towards the outskirts of Boston, he chose not to get too close to the ever familiar Boston home that he had sometimes frequented. Nate’s first plan was to find out just how serious this “punishment” was… So, being the idiotically brave soul that he is, he made his way right up to the front where the stationed guards were the heaviest; his lips curling into that innocent, clueless smile that he could pull off rather well whenever the occasion fit. The British regulars were stringent and wouldn’t even allow Nate to leave a message for Alfred. Damn them… not that he was really expecting anything less… When Nate pondered saying something else to the red-coated regulars, he was roughly ‘escorted’ off the premises. Yes, that would probably get him into trouble as well. Nate was well aware that Arthur wasn’t particularly happy with him at the moment (or the majority of the others.) Frustrated with not being able to see Alfred, Nate had to take a little bit of a breather… and was somewhat surprised when he came back in the latter half of the day to see a small crowd gathering close to the house by the window… (because that wouldn’t draw attention. No, not in the least.) He made sure to keep his instinctive eye roll response in check before he quietly approached them. ”Well, well, look at how loyal ya’ll are… S’good to see everyone.” the playful hint of a smile tugged at the corners of Nate’s mouth as he appraised each of them in turn. He hadn’t been there to see Gage and Jayden head straight in, so he could only catch a glance of those still standing there: Johnny and the three women… and Alfred singing quite loudly at the window. That was… a sight. Nate flashed Alfred an expression of amused acknowledging before fixing his gaze on the door. Normally, he would have thought this out a little better, but it looked like the damage had already been done by someone else. Yep, stealth is now out the window, ladies and gents. And, of course, not to Nate’s surprise, it was Gage. The Carolina doll (as Nate liked to occasionally name her in his stubbornly teasing way) confirmed this as she approached the door. It was either everyone barge in like avenging devils or do nothing and stand here like gawking idiots until they were caught. ”Let's just get everyone the hell outta here...” Nate said, the accompanying grin only briefly visible before he entered, slipping in after Charlotte. Tristan never met the same fate as Alfred underwent either because no one knew he was there or no one could find him. Difficult to say which one it could be since Tristan went into hiding the day after. He thought Alfred would do the very same thing by either wear some disguise or go into hiding. Tristan just assumed Alfred would stay away from sight like he would for awhile, but when he heard word of Alfred being put under house arrest because of the event that Tristan also contributed to angered him. He wasn’t on very good terms with the British, especially Arthur, ever since he was shot trying to protect his citizens on March 5th, 1770 which, thanks to his condition of hyperthymesia, he can recall every event that happened in great detail. It didn’t matter if he got in trouble helping Alfred, he would.

Being the fighter that Tristan is he wouldn’t just allow the stupid British to confine Alfred for doing something like this. Arthur should just be glad they, or at least Tristan, didn’t go around attacking soldiers. Ever since Tristan failed at protecting all his people during the massacre he kept thinking about failing them again and not just his people, but Alfred too. His crush developed when Alfred came to help him recuperate after the killing when Tristan experienced PTSD, eventually it turned into rage more than uncontrollable fear of the British like it was for two years following the massacre where he couldn’t even see a British soldier without cowering in fear and the events flooding back to him of that faithful day. The soldiers wouldn’t hurt Alfred, would they? Probably not, but he wouldn’t put it past them if Alfred acted out. He’d have to plan for the perfect way to break Alfred out of his house which also became his prison.

He grabbed his musket that sat on his table on the inn he currently was staying at since he still didn’t go home. It took him many odd jobs that took most of his time just to save up for the highly expensive gun. At first, before the killing, he wanted one just to show off to everyone and use more as a decoration than anything else, but after he started to do more odd jobs to get enough money. Three months before dumping the disgusting tea into the harbor he and he had to wait for the gun to be since all guns were made to order. Shortly before tossing the tea he acquired it and the man even explained how to fire it, probably thinking he wanted to use this for hunting rather than protection. Tristan’s plan was smile. Shot to kill the British soldiers before they shot him. Even if he were shot many times, which he no doubt will be, he’ll force through the pain. No matter how difficult it would be. The object wasn’t to not get shot, he was to get Alfred out anyway possible…even if was through a horribly painful distraction. Hopefully to Alfred it would just show determination and just how much he loved…uh…cared for him.

Tristan arrived at the house, ready for a bloodbath that would land him in a lot of trouble. On his way toward Alfred’s house he spotted a British soldier walking toward him, probably curious about the gun in his grasp. Since Tristan did all the necessary measures to shoot the musket, he didn’t have to prepare it again and simply raised and fired. It struck the soldier in the chest and he fell to the ground. Tristan wasn’t going to stick around to see if he killed him or not, he had a mission to complete. He had a feeling the gunshot could call more soldiers, hopefully all, to leave Alfred behind to stop him. He prepared his musket once more. Knowing how long it would take to do this with the British shooting at him. Tristan forced that from his mind and ran until he saw the house come into view.

Since he decided on walking through the door Tristan never saw anyone gathered by the window. By the time he reached the door, he heard a scuffle inside, but the voices were too muffled for him to make out the words or who were inside. Tristan assumed the door was locked and decided to kick it down. Took seven swift kicks to bust it down, each time it hurt his leg, but he powered past the pain. When he stepped inside he spotted a soldier and fired a shot, hitting him in the chest just like he had for the others. He fell to the ground and Tristan wasted no time loading the gun for a second round.
