When I look into all of your stupid faces
I think how fun it will be to pound them into dust
Hair: Pale blonde
Height and Weight: 5’3”, 120 lbs.
Other Distinguishing Features: Her most notable feature is probably her long, pale hair. Otherwise, nothing really.
Overall Appearance: Lisbet’s expression either looks exceedingly faraway, like she’s lost her train of thought and is trying very hard to find it again… or just stoic. Her eyes are a dark blue—a bit warmer than the usual shade of blue, yet out of sorts with the rest of her pale features. Her face is soft and slightly rounded. She favours either blue or white (or both together) and it reflects in her clothing, which usually consists of skirts or other feminine apparel. Lisbet rarely ever wears trousers. Despite this, she dresses herself rather plainly without jewelry or hair adornments. Her hair is usually hanging freely, seldom ever tied back or done up. Sometimes she’s seen wearing hats—either for warmth or a small attempt at keeping the wind from blowing her hair around.

Strengths:
- International Relations: Oslo, despite her oddities, is surprisingly good at keeping up with international relations. This capital has cooperation agreements with several cities or regions including New York, Stockholm, London, Shanghai, and Moscow to name a few. To this day, she still holds onto the tradition of sending Christmas trees to a select number of cities: one in particular to London as an expression of gratitude for the UK’s support of Norway during WWII.
- Nationalistic Pride: The majority of Norwegians are exceedingly proud of their heritage and Lisbet is no different. She takes pride in her identity as well as her past and present: grievous mistakes, shining moments, and all else in between. She feels that it’s important to embrace everything that contributes to the individual, no matter how dark or unsightly some of these elements may be.
- Traditionalist: Oslo holds tightly onto traditions, not only ones pertaining to Norwegian culture, but also personal traditions. She prefers patterns and unchanged ways—it’s comfortable and something that she knows well. However, she continues to change, growing steadily into a modern city with a rising population and new establishments.
Weaknesses:
- Passive-Aggressive: Unfortunately, she has this tendency. It’s a notorious Norwegian disease. Especially between family members… or whom she would consider ‘family.’
- Twisted Sense of Propriety: Norwegians don’t let others know of their personal history unless it’s being dragged out of them. Bit by painful bit. It’s a long process. The funny thing is that it’s rarely out of shame, but more out of a strong sense of their form of “courtesy” and stringent sense of privacy. Sadly, a lot of history and people get forgotten through this form of propriety. Lisbet also tends to be tight lipped about many affairs—particularly about the past.
- Slightly Yandere: She was burnt several times over. Her people were a bit ruthless in the beginning. She’s bound to be a bit… odd at times. But that’s carefully hidden behind a blank-faced countenance. She’ll only once in a while smile at a bit of self-created macabre humour or mutter something that would make someone glance at her twice. These moments are rare, but beneath the seemingly innocent appearance of a young woman, there is definitely a bit of a shadow between the folds of normalcy.
Fears:
- Fire: She’s been burnt to the ground before. Several times over.
- Watering down of culture: Despite not being an open book about her history, Lisbet is still very proud of her identity and would hate to see any form of that being lost over time.
Secrets:
- She never really got over being reduced to a provincial administrative centre after Norway entered into a personal union with Denmark… and also for being renamed Christiania/Kristiania and moved closer to Akershus Castle for the King’s pleasure in 1877-1925.
- Is terrified of fire. And for good reason.
- Owns a large assortment of certain ‘collectibles’ that she’d rather keep out of public knowledge.
- Has an extremely volatile relationship with Stockholm (on her end, at least) that wavers between extreme animosity and shy affection.
- Will smother Iceland with her version of affection… if no one stops her.
Any Quirks/Habits:
- Very frugal with her spending… even when she doesn’t need to be.
- Has an odd habit of collecting cute things—mostly plushies or little mythological lookalikes—safely locked away in her home. It’s a secret indulgence, though she will always deny their existence.
- Eats raw fish on occasion.
- Loves her hats.
Overall Personality: At first glance, Lisbet appears to be withdrawn and perhaps a bit stern. And for the most part, first appearances would be correct. Lisbet is a capital that prefers to dwell in her own thoughts and fancies if it were completely up to her. But it’s not. So she forces herself to be social, especially with the capitals and regions listed above, and she’s actually pretty competent at it when she tries. She’s generally patient and will stand the loud silliness of others if she must (doesn’t mean that she likes it… but her fuse is fantastically long.) Lisbet might occasionally make flat expressions or slightly shake her head in a show of disapproval instead of actually voicing it, unless it’s something magnanimously wrong.
There are few who Olso extends her much rarer, somewhat maternal side towards. And she expresses it in simple, indirect ways, such as cooking meals or keeping company (even if her version of ‘keeping company’ is simply listening if they feel like talking or staying close if they feel like not talking. Rare shows of kindness are simply expressed in unconventional ways, but she means well. Lisbet shows grief in a similarly unobtrusive way. She’s quiet and blank during her difficult times, only completely withdrawing when it gets truly awful.
Aside from her contemporary, much subdued side since her violent past, Oslo still retains a bit of that macabre, dark humor in secret. She enjoys watching others squirm at times whenever they’re uncomfortable and even finds a bit of twisted comedy in the ironic aspects of human history. It’s not to the level of an actual sadist, but she does have her weird moments of engaging in her odd sense of humour. The capital’s a bit of a nut case deep down, beneath the clean-cut, well put together appearance. She’s just an odd, discreet girl that can be social when duty calls and a bit of a quietly maniacal yandere when no one’s looking
