On this particular occasion, Caroline was first on her itinerary, and the two had already spent some time together a few days prior. It wasn't fair to visit only one, though, not when her culture was so stemmed in both English and French culture. She was not strapped for time, and therefore she'd be paying a visit to Abbey as well.
Mackenzie might have been quieter than Danii, but that did not make her any less outgoing. She was thrilled to be spending time with other capitals, and she planned to extend invitations to a Canada Day party she would be throwing in a few months time. She'd already extended one such invitation to Caroline, and Abbey was next on her agenda. Danii would probably get an invite as well, if she could spare the time preparing for the 4th of July a few days later.
The capital usually handled most of the festivities. Though again, not as loud and boisterous as plenty of her neighbors to the south, she enjoyed a good party as much as any of them did. She liked to think that her parties were a little more subdued (there would be no messes after them, not for long), but that did not make them any less fun.
The blond approached the other capital's house, a smile on her face. The last time she'd seen Abbey was the last capital meeting, and she was excited to see the other young woman again. One could say that the four of them were fairly close - Caroline, Abbey, Danii, and Mackenzie, that was. Her hope was that they'd all be able to get together for the Canada Day party, as it had been a while since all four of them spent time together at once outside of meetings.
Reaching the door, Mackenzie tapped lightly though audibly, then stood back and waited for Abbey to answer. Perhaps she should have called ahead of time, but hopefully her sudden visit didn't cause any inconvenience.

Abbey had realized that morning that Arthur decided to only buy alcohol and tea again. This meant she had go to shopping, and make a list as to what to go shopping for. She did wish he would stop picking up only those two items when he went out, but she wasn’t about to complain. At least here she could do it and make sure he didn’t forget that food was essential. The girl really wasn’t sure what he did on long trips, and really did hope he remembered to feed himself on them. His capital worried about him sometimes, and times when he was away she worried the most. The worry wasn’t always because of his eating habits, but more of a question of if he would come back. Sure, somewhere she knew he probably would, but there was still a lingering doubt that someday he wouldn’t. Ah well, she wasn’t going to worry about it for the moment, she wasn’t sure where he had gone actually, she just hoped he would come home at some point. Well, she’d really prefer he leave a note, but it was also entirely possible he hadn’t come back at all last night, and was staying with someone else for whatever reason.
Anyway, the girl made herself a list then went out shopping for the food and ingredients she needed for various things. Her nation did like to cook, and so she was grabbing stuff for him to be able to do so based on what they were currently out of. This was actually quite a number of things. She sighed and resigned next time to do this before they were out of basically everything. Really had to pay more attention to such things, but she supposed she had probably noted she needed to do it then got sidetracked. Ah well, it happened, and now she had the stuff so thus decided to head home. Maybe she would call her country and ask if she should expect him home at some point today. She may even make him bread pudding if that was the case. If not, then well she’d probably have to order take-out. It was well known in the house that she wasn’t allowed to cook actual food for fear she’d set it on fire or some other sort of mishap again. Thus, when he wasn’t home she usually resorted to either eating mostly desserts or ordering food.
When Abbey got back she unloaded everything and placed it in the kitchen. She had just started putting things away when she heard a knock on the door. Arthur wouldn’t knock, so it couldn’t be him. Idly she actually wondered who was here. The girl didn’t get visitors all too often after all. She set down what she was holding and walked over to open the door. London was a bit surprised to find Mackenzie standing on her doorstep, but smiled and stepped aside for her to come in if she wanted. ”Oh, hello Mackenzie. Come on in if you like. What are you doing in London?” she asked the other girl with a bright smile at her.
