When I look into all of your stupid faces
I think how fun it will be to pound them into dust
Hair: Blonde
Height and Weight: 5'11; 215lbs
Other Distinguishing Features: Dat ass? Oh, and some battle scars.
Overall Appearance:
Perhaps at first, Germany doesn't appear to be the most opposing creature on the planet - 5'11, well groomed, clearly goes to the gym regularly, he appears on the surface to be a nation who simply takes care of himself. At first. But when one looks closer, they see all those tell-tale signs - the marks and scars from many wars in a short time frame, the muscles of a man well trained to fight well, the high ranking military officer uniform wrapped around his strong body, and the luger on his belt.
Germany carries himself with a body of pride and strength; he assures that, whatever he does, however he does it, it's clear he's doing so with great belief in himself - and to hell with anyone else's opinion. His body language oozes self-confidence - but not ego, nothing about him says that he is simply full of himself, but rather he's confident because of experience. The key difference between Russia and many other nations.
There's very few instances anyone might see Germany dressed in anything less than his best - suits and military uniform are the normal for the proud European power, though when social etiquette dictates, he'll dress down. The gym, soccer, or the beach are perfect examples.

Strengths:
Commander - Germany knows what he's doing, at all times. His plans are resourced, robust, reliable, reasonable and resourced. It's uncommon he'll have you do a task without the necessary equipment.
Intelligent - Germany is an educated, knowledgeable nation. With a great understanding of military tactics, technology, economics and finances, he's never one struggle.
Mentor - Germany, being a young nation, knows the struggles of newer nations. For that reason, he acts as a very effective mentor, teaching them the tricks that will help them progress.
Powerful - Germany can handle itself. Bloody well, at that.
Weaknesses:
Stubborn - Once he's set, Germany isn't budging. Nuh uh, no sir.
Too Serious - It makes making friends hard for poor Deutschland.
Pessimistic - Germany doesn't see the better side of people regularly enough, meaning his first resort may be someone else's last resort.
OCD - Clean everything. Everything must be perfect. Italy is cooking - clean surfaces while he does. No mess. None.
Temper - 'Nuff said.
Fears:
Being outcasted - Germany has made mistakes he's not proud of, and despite his serious nature, he doesn't want to lose out on being a nation co-existing with the rest of the world.
Another crazy boss - Never, ever again.
Secrets:
Closet Pervert - Don't you even dare, Italy.
Baking - He likes to bake. But that's sissy. So you didn't hear that.
Any Quirks/Habits:
Mashing Potatoes - If they didn't start mashed, they'll end mashed before he eats them.
Overall Personality:
Germany can be summed up in just a few words - headstrong, proud, powerful, stubborn, strict, serious and overly compulsive. Everything has to be absolutely perfect - even if it's 99.9% right, 99.9% accurate, that's still a fail in his eyes. He holds the world to his impossible standards - and when they inevitably drop below, he makes sure they hear all about it. He doesn't believe in wasting resources, nor does he believe in hording them - his energies are always being switched and swapped, trying to focus on key aspects of the day and his life at a time, never over expending his time, nor failing to give it quite enough attention.
At the same time, he's also a gentleman, and he is understanding, even if he doesn't display it well all the time. He's compassionate and he's caring - he wouldn't take a prisoner without treating them even as a basic human; there's no need for suffering where suffering isn't required. He tries to take control of every situation that might arise and then carry it on his shoulders, determined that it be done right - if he fails, then he'll admit the fault that is his.
Germany keeps rather to himself about many aspects of his life - he doesn't feel the world will understand, or will accept his various issues, and thus doesn't wish to make his problems their problems. Germany feels it important to be his own man - he appreciates privacy, and doesn't wish to give it up to just anymore. Breaking into his shell is very, very difficult.

I'm the hero!
[li] Bismark made chancellor in Prussia - feeling that German speaking states should be free of Austro-Hungarian rule; tired of Austrian monarchy overseeing the German speaking nations. Anger between the collective over France's ability to storm through Europe, taking them all one by one with ease to build an empire.
[/li][li] Bismark begins campaigning for German confederation - social, military and industrial reforms begin. All military tactics and weapons upgraded, outdated commanders released. Conscription begins for all Prussian men between 18 - 35 for 2 years minimal service.
[/li][li] Military upgraded and men trained, Prussian leaders are keen to try out their new army. Denmark attempts to annex Schleswig - Prussia steps in to help in the name of German pride; easily defeats Denmark in combat. Annexes Schleswig and Holstein in the process.
[/li][li] Annexation causes tension between Prussia and Austria; Prussia defiant in the face of Austria, continues to campaign for German Confederacy. Prussia begins to quickly annex northern German speaking states.
[/li][li] Annexations furthers tensions - war breaks out between the two nations. Prussia makes a deal with Italy - Italy declares war on Austria, forcing Austria to fight a war on two fronts. Battles rages on for some time before Prussia comes out as victor - unwilling to upset a possible future ally, Prussia refuses to take Austrian territory, only claiming German speaking states. Prussia now span northern 3/4 of German speaking states.
[/li][li] Tensions between France and Prussia building - Prussia and France communicating by letters. Bismark takes French letter and makes edits, making them appear to be disrespectful toward the German speaking states, and writes one in return making Prussia appear to be courageous and fighting for German rights. Prussia prints both letters side by side.
[/li][li] Tensions too high - France and Prussia go into war; Prussia gains support of southern German speaking states, who join Prussia's powerful military forces to fight against France. France quickly become overwhelmed.
[/li][li] Prussia takes Paris captive and isolates from France and all other French cities; France struggling to fight back, eventually submit, unable to fight off the combined German mights due to an outdated military.
[/li][li] Prussia takes Alsace-Lorraine and merges with southern German states - Germany is born.
[/li][li] Germany makes treaty with Austro-Hungary and Italy. Keeps information secret for several years before Germany's boss passes - new boss comes into power, fires Bismark and announces treaty publically; other European powers become worried.
[/li][li] Germany ordered to begin military, airforce and naval growth - tensions rise with France and Britain, who come to an understanding with France and Russia; no military agreement made, however hopes the relationship will encourage such should any war break out.
[/li][li] Arms race has begun between Britain and Germany - Germany begin taking colonies; further tensions grow.
[/li][li] Nations unable to coexist any longer when Germany attempts to take Belgium; war breaks out. Colonies and allied nations enter the war - America remains independent for now.
[/li][li] War rages on - German, Austrian and Italian troops are looking to be victorious as Germany make strong advances on France; soldiers report to seeing the Eiffel Tower. German U-Boat sinks Titanic; hundreds of Americans killed. America enters the war.
[/li][li] Italy leaves and defects to Britain, France and Russia's side with America joining the war. New allied forces begin to overwhelm the German and Austro-Hungarian forces; troops struggling for food and resources - Germany and Austro-Hungary forced into admitting defeat. Germany embarrassed by being forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles.
[/li][li] Treaty makes example of Germany; forces them to pay for conflict via reparations, must demiliterise the German half of the Rhineland, military numbers cut drastically, airforce numbers cut drastically, naval numbers cut drastically, U-Boats banned entirely, Alsace-Lorraine returned to France.
[/li][li] Enraged, financial crisis hits Germany with massive unemployment, political upheaval and huge dismay from German speaking peoples. Treaty aimed to crush Germany from ever being a threat again. French troops denying German access to industrial zones, making reparation payments substantially more difficult.
[/li][li] Germany forced to change currency to combat super-inflation, political troubles continue within Germany; communists and fascists battling for political control. Reichstag (German voting building) burned down, losing masses of votes, communists blamed.
[/li][li] Fascists capitalise - Germany gets a new boss. Secretly begins rebuilding military, airforce and navy without telling other European nations; doubles industrial efforts and builds new roads, increasing productivity. French forces forced from the Ruhe.
[/li][li] Germany begins rapidly repaying war debts - French become worried, build Maggino Line on their side of the Rhineland to create static defence, paranoid and fear imminent German invasion. Complain to Britain that Germany is rebuilding military forces - Germany argues to be defending itself. Unwilling to risk another world war, Britain allows Germany to continue building it's forces.
[/li][li] UN is formed, Germany enters Spanish Civil War, providing General Franco with troops and arms to test out - highly effective.
[/li][li] UN condemn German actions, but fail to act - Britain still holding appeasement, refuses to act. France becoming more and more worried about Germany, continues to complain.
[/li][li] Germany uses UN's failure to react to begin annexing nations under boss' orders; claims to be defending German peoples by doing so, Britain continues to allow, UN continues to fail in responding.
[/li][li] Germany learns of his boss' actions toward various groups of people, and that he can be held responsible; too late to do anything about it nor stop it despite protests.
[/li][li] Germany promises not to annex the Slovakian half of Czechoslovakia - does so with military force. The UN and Britain argue - Germany leaves the UN and remiliterises the Rhineland. War is declared.
[/li][li] Germany find allies in Russia and Austria, bring colonies into battle; Britain, Italy and France do the same - once again, America tries to remain out of the war.
[/li][li] Germany quickly defeats and takes over France, begins bombing Britain at night - German and Russian forces seem to be winning with little effort; Germany's boss has a very effective plan.
[/li][li] Germany's use of U-Boats brings America into the war. Allied side morale boosts.
[/li][li] Germany's boss changes a drastic part of the plan at last minute - attacks Russia in winter; German forces lack necessary resources, and Russia begins to demolish the German forces. Russia defects to help allied side.
[/li][li] Germany can't cope. Becoming overwhelmed, Germany's boss puts out orders to maim all captured nations before killing self. His advisers and right hand men all do the same - Germany left to face the wrath of the allies once more.
[/li][li] Nuremberg trials take place, condemning all who helped Germany's boss. Germany's reputation tarnished - once again imposed on financially - allies attempt to act less harshly in order to avoid repeating the same process.
[/li][li] Slowly rebuilding, Germany pays off debts and focuses heavily on social, economical and technological reforms - military upgrades of course continued as new technology becomes available to keep up. Working on repairing reputation.
