If she has no established opinion on someone, their relationship can go either way, depending on how much someone is willing to tolerate her cheerful demeanor. She values her friends, but at times, she can be very dishonest with them. [style=color: #ffffff; font-family: georgia; text-align: center; margin-bottom:3px]right here in my open hands,[/style] [style=background-color: #700000 ; color: #ffffff; font-family: courier new; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: center; padding-right: 3px; padding-left: 3px; padding-bottom: 1px; padding-top: 1px]enemies. enemies. enemies. enemies. enemies. enemies. enemies. enemies.[/style] It wouldn't be incorrect to say Elena is used to making enemies for what she is, though really she never intends to do it without a good purpose. It's not really within her nature to hold a long-lasting grudge unless someone has severely wronged her, though. [style=color: #ffffff; font-family: georgia; text-align: center; margin-bottom:3px]and maybe i'm just a little girl,[/style] [style=background-color: #700000 ; color: #ffffff; font-family: courier new; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: center; padding-right: 3px; padding-left: 3px; padding-bottom: 1px; padding-top: 1px]lovers. lovers. lovers. lovers. lovers. lovers. lovers. lovers. lovers.[/style] Elena has been pushed around and incorporated into other Balkan countries so many times that she's become a little weary of being considered the property of a man. That said, it's not that she would never, ever persue a relationship, but she wouldn't really be the one to initate it. She can be remarkably conservative about love, contrary to her general persona. [style=color: #ffffff; font-family: georgia; text-align: center; margin-bottom:3px]a little girl with great big plans.[/style] [style=background-color: #700000 ; color: #ffffff; font-family: courier new; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: center; padding-right: 3px; padding-left: 3px; padding-bottom: 1px; padding-top: 1px]others. others. others. others. others. others. others. others. others.[/style] Eastern Europeans, be they friends or enemies, are all entirely welcome to give her hell, if desired. As neighbors (Well.... since Macedonia is pretty much just above Greece), I think Athens will be very friendly to Macedonia, like that of a child to an older person. Though Athens is helluva older than the nation, she's pretty much a kid in terms of personality so the most you can get to her is the fact that she will cling to her from time to time. Despite these things, I got an inkling that they'll get along just fine (if Anastasia would stop acting like a kid on sugar rush half the time) even if Macedonia and Greece would have a minor dispute over the name (amongst other things) despite the fact that the two seems going well in terms of economy and business relationship.
Oh, and that both Macedonia and Athens were (once) wooed by Ancient Rome and their experience with the Ottoman Empire. You know there's a lot more to exploit in there, yar yar?
Ten cents of thoughts? [/style][style=width: 250px; border-radius: 25px 25px 25px 25px; background: #ffab64; border: 5px double #ff7100; font-family: tahoma; font-size: 10px; text-align: center; color: #ffffff; padding: 10px;]credit goes to LUNAR of LOVE STAMP[/style]

I think if she had a good relationship with Athens, though, she might get a bit clingy towards her? (I think Athens was a part of Ancient Macedonia at one point? Elena kind of considers herself to be the 'heir' to the legacy the ancient civilisation left behind, though she doesn't represent Ancient Macedonia herself, so she might get a bit possessive?)
I do enjoy anything from the Ottoman era or the modern day, so whatever takes your fancy, I'm game for!

America and Macedonia
"The United States and the Republic of Macedonia enjoy excellent bilateral relations."
I'd say that hints good terms, at the very least? Currently, anyway. Recognizing Macedonia as Macedonia in 1994 probably put him on good terms in her book, I'd assume. Then he also offered her some assistance after the crisis in 2001 , as well as in transitions to a market economy.
I just had a ridiculous mental picture of Alfred standing in front of a classroom and teaching a bunch of former Soviet nations the way of the capitalist. -Shot-
Like you said, I could see downturns in their relations during the Soviet Union days, when she gets screwed over. Up to you on how you want to play that one out, if you want to play it out at all. XD Just tossing out some ideas here!

The only issue I have with the post-Balkan war era, though as I said, America's actions did have a big effect on Macedonia at the time, is that I can't imagine they'd have interacted directly? Having said that, I wonder if some form of letter interaction might be interesting in that case?
