When I look into all of your stupid faces
I think how fun it will be to pound them into dust
Hair: Long, brown hair that reaches down to her waist. It's usually down, and she lets it do whatever it pleases. The only time it's up, it's when she means business.
Height and Weight: Gisele stands at a height of 5'8", she's one of the tallest South Americans. While she does stand taller than most of them, she's very insecure about her height and sometimes her weight. She's by no means chubby, but she sure is curvy. She has tried to hide her curves, but as of late, she's been trying to embrace all the glory of her body. As far as her weight, she's around 125 pounds.
Other Distinguishing Features: She has long legs that seem to go on for days, which gets her a lot of attention.
Overall Appearance: Gisele embodies femininity to a T. From her plump lips, to her shapely legs, she exudes sensuality. There's no way to deny she's not a good thing to look at. She's rather tall, compared to the other South Americans, so you will not find her in heels unless it is completely necessary. She's a curvy girl, so she likes to keep herself in shape. Whether it'd be running or swimming, this girl is active most of the day. She's rather vain when it comes to her body, and sometimes she lets it go to her head. The one thing she does hate about herself is the fact that she doesn't have the sun kissed glow most of the people in her home do. She can tan, but she feels rather pale when compared to others. Of course, she understands that she has traces of European decedents in her and not everyone in Brazil is tan.

Man up or I'll beat you with my peace prize!
› THE BEACH
› Fashion
› Dancing
› The Carnival of Brazil
› Literature
› Football (soccer), of course!
› Caipirinha
Dislikes:
› Being bossed around
› Extremely cold weather
› Conflict
› Waking up early
› Getting involved in other's disputes
Strengths:
› Peaceful: While her neighbors, like Chile and Bolivia, can't seem to stay quiet or out of each other's hair, Gisele has a strict non-intervention policy. She makes it her business to not get involved in anyone else's affairs. She would much rather have a peaceful dispute settlement and just talk it out like adults.
› Economically Aware: Her home has the largest national economy in Latin America and the world's seventh largest economy at market exchange rates. From her early days, Gisele knew international trading would play a big role in transforming her into an up and coming world power. She has made sure that her major export range from aircraft, to steel, to orange juice.
› Physically Strong: Although she might look like a complete girly girl on the surface, Gisele is as athletic as they get. She has a passion for soccer and has won the World Cup a record five times, with Italians following closely behind. She does a variety of sports, such as volleyball, basketball, and the recently popular gymnastics. In a world full of men, this girl is willing to prove she's just as good as they are.
Weaknesses:
› Mood Swings: This might be caused by the mixture of many different races and ethnicities in her. Sometimes she can be flustered and meek, then the next day she takes complete control of the situation. She's struggling to find who she really is, but she has to admit that she enjoys having so many different bloodlines running through her.
› Overly Sexual: Okay, so she's not a whore, she doesn't sleep with every person she meets, but sometimes she gets carried away. Where she's from, sexuality is freely embraced and it's not something to run away from. However, some of her European friends weren't raised with the same mindset and might be shocked at her very tight, lingering hugs. She often finds herself flirting without actually wanting to.
› Childish: This was clear from the time she was with Portugal. Gisele is as stubborn as a three year old and always wants to prove that she can do things herself, she doesn't need anyone! Except sometimes she does and she still refuses to ask for help from anyone. She doesn't want to be dependent of anyone, not after she fought for her independence so long ago.
Fears:
› Failing: She has come so far in the world by herself, she doesn't want to fail. She doesn't want to be forgotten or being back under the rule of someone else.
› Ghosts/Demons: Because she's a scaredy cat when it comes to things like that. She often, internally, freaks out when Mexico starts talking about La Llorona or ghost stories, but she laughs it off so others don't know her weakness.
Secrets:
› She loves to lock herself in her room, turn on the radio and be a goof by dancing the night away.
› Has never, ever fallen in love, though she wishes she had experienced love once. She's a hopeless romantic and she's not about to give up on her dream.
› Walks around in her underwear, or nude, when she's home alone.
Any Quirks/Habits:
›Whenever she attends world meetings, she's completely bored out of her mind and tends to drum her fingernails on the table while humming, much to the disapproval of the person next to her.
› She definitely has a short attention span.
› Gisele often softly bites her lip when she's in trying hard to concentrate.
Overall Personality: Gisele is never, truly, sure of what she wants or what she feels. Sometimes she loves being the center of attention and she goes through phases of wearing low cut clothes and getting into a bikini. And sometimes, she wants to be invisible and tries to hide her body from people. All the while, she keeps a smile on her face. She's known for being friendly, sometimes too friendly, and having a good time.
Although she likes to think of herself as a great drinker and partier, she is horrible at holding her liquor, which leads to some very crazy moments. She's usually unaware of what she does when she's drunk and it's a good thing her friends don't let her get into too much trouble.
As mentioned, she pretends to be this independent, confident woman, but she's usually winging it. It's all an act, one that she's good at, to ensure that Portugal doesn't realize how lost she felt when Gisele became independent. Even so, she tries to get along with her former friend and is trying to build a good relationship again. Here's to hoping it works out.

I'm the hero!
In 1500, April 22nd to be exact, the land that would be named Brazil was discovered by Portuguese explorer, Pedro Alvares Cabral.
By 1550, Spain had appointed a governor of Brazil and had imported slaves from Africa to work the sugar plantations. Not long after that, Holland sold Brazil to Portugal. Gisele was young, she was in need of guidance and Portugal was the one who swooped in for the job. At first, Gisele was more than happy to have company. She looked up to Portugal and wanted to be just like her. She was her idol.
But the people of Brazil were unhappy, though a young Gisele wasn't sure why. Why did they not like her big sister? What had she done to deserve that kind of treatment? Whatever it had been, Gisele never completely figured it out. The rebellion against Portugal came from the people of Brazil, and Gisele could do nothing but stand back at watch. She didn't want to choose sides, not between her guardian and her own people.
Gisele's impression of Portugal dramatically changed following the rebellion. Through this whole time, Portugal could do no wrong in her eyes, but the treatment and cruel execution of Jose da Silva Xavier ( the man who had lead the rebellion) tarnished Portugal's image forever. No, Gisele would not stand by and let her people be killed. She needed to choose and she chose her people.
In September 7th of 1822, Gisele declared her independence from Portugal. She was no longer some child who would be pushed around or be taken advantage of. Portugal and Gisele's personal ties ended that day.
Gisele was independent, but she wasn't an adult yet. It took a long time for her to settle herself on her own. She managed to abolish slavery in 1888, which had been a goal since the day Portugal left. If Gisele was free, her people had to be as well.
She's maintained a policy of not being involved in other's disputes, but she did play a small role in WWI by letting France use the Brazilian ports, only after Germany sunk Brazilian merchant ships.
And once again, in WWII, Germany and the Axis sunk a few ships, resulting in killing some 1000 Brazilian sailors and Brazil's declaration of war on Germany. She assisted the Allies, by sending 25 thousand troops to fight against the Axis in Italy.
Gisele has long since tried to be as peaceful as possibly. Instead of fighting she prefers to live life to the fullest. This world has seen countless of wars, wars she and others would most likely want to forget. Instead of dwelling in the past, Gisele is looking forward to what the future might bring everyone. Anyway, the dark days are over, there's only sunshine to look forward to now, right?

You've got it backwards! Backwards!
Hurry up and throw it! If you don't hurry up and throw it, you'll go "boom"!
The clock on the wall was stuck on five o'clock, or so it seemed that way. For the past half an hour, Gisele had been glancing at it nonstop. They had been at it for over two hours and she was ready to get out. The room, full of other beings like herself, felt stuffy and there was only so much she could take.
At the moment, someone was standing up and voicing their opinion which sounded something like, "Blah, blah, blah, blah, dude, blah, blah, McDonald's, blah, blah, blah, Lady Liberty, blah, blah."
Now Gisele didn't want to point fingers, but there was only one person who would derailed from the issues to talk about their craving for a Happy Meal. Gisele didn't bother looking up from the notes in front of her, she just didn't trust herself to not look at the clock once more. From her left, she could hear the slow breathing of the person slumbering in their chair, to her right, someone else was tapping their pencil ever so lightly on the table. Gisele's fingers traced the edge of the table and she tapped her fingernails on it once. Then again, before she knew it, she and the person next to her had a nice beat going on. Her fingernails lightly tapped the surface along side the pencil of her table mate.
She'd done this many times, but never before had someone else joined her in this distraction. She was really excited about it, but she didn't dare look up yet. She was sure to find one or two people giving her a disapproving glare. So she had her fun for a few minutes. Until a loud cough interrupted her, followed by someone else clearing their throat. Why couldn't they just let her have some fun? She pouted and sunk into her chair, not before grinning like a idiot with the person next to her. Though they had been interrupted, they had managed to pass the time. Her brown eyes looked at the clock once more. Two minutes past five.... the hope in her eyes was gone after that. Only two minutes had passed. And there was another hour left to go.
