Norway is very much a reclusive man. It’s a struggle to get him out of his house or away from boats. His hobbies include fishing, skiing, horseback riding, and learning languages. Trolls, fairies, and nisse follow him around along with a recent addition of a baby dragon. Unlike England’s magical creatures, everyone can see the creatures that follow Norway around. Norway criticizes everything and rarely holds back once he really gets into it. He’s very shy and mellow. His outward expression rarely changes. Reading Norway’s emotions is very difficult and misinterpreting them is easily done.
[/blockquote] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FRIENDS . FRIENDS . FRIENDS . FRIENDS . FRIENDS So, you want to try and befriend the local hermit? Getting close to Norge is rather hard to begin with. Also, he nitpicks and can make rather scathing criticisms about everyone, so don’t take anything personally. There aren’t many countries who can honestly call Nor a “good friend”. It’s possible in theory, but being acquaintances or remaining on neutral ground is much easier when dealing with this Norwegian. Nor does enjoy talking about the creatures of Norse mythology and may be able to garner some appeal that way. Denmark is often used to gain some sympathy from the other countries.
HISTORICAL . HISTORICAL . HISTORICAL . HISTORICAL . HISTORICAL
I’ll do any historical threads with Norway so long as they don’t predate the Viking Age. He’s had an interesting history with the other Nordic countries and used to be quite a threat to Europe in his much younger days of pillaging and burning towns. Norway has declared itself neutral during both world wars, but was invaded by Germany in WWII.
ENEMIES . ENEMIES . ENEMIES . ENEMIES . ENEMIESNorway doesn’t really hate anyone, but others could certainly find reason to hate him. With a tendency to make scathing remarks and harsh criticisms, Norge is bound to offend someone. Also, his seemingly lack of emotion may annoy a few people as it really is impossible to know what the Norwegian is thinking. Denmark and Sweden are just irritating, but Nor couldn’t hate either of them really.

Okay, friendly acquaintances I think~ They can always go fishing or sledding and skiing at each others houses and, when ever they're both forced to be trapped in a social event, they can people watch and say horrible things. xD I think AK could tolerate most of his criticism (as long as he doesn't call her an Eskimo.) She might get offended but I think they're on good enough terms to where she wont hurt him. Also, after living a childhood amongst Woolly Mammoths and Saber-tooth Tigers, I think AK would be pretty unphased by his magical creatures.

These two are quite adorable XD I don't know exactly where'd you want to go with it but Addy is always very friendly and can easily shake off a couple insults, so it won't be a problem if he nitpicks her.

Alaska and Norway Norge mostly goes fishing and skiing and being around another northern climate state might be a little more familiar at least when it comes to visits. Norge is unlikely to call Alaska an Eskimo, so she's safe there. While not all of Nor's mythical creatures are intimidating, walking around with a couple Frost Giants as bodyguards is pretty intimating especially when the Giants are pissed. Otherwise, they'd get along just fine.
Adelina and Sigurd Norway's boss does try to get the nation out of the country and Scandinavia, maybe they could meet while he's been technically kicked out of his own country? He may not be that talkative, but may or may not enjoy the presence of someone else like him who isn't loud and obnoxious.

IRELAND and NORWAY
i only have two nations at the moment, and all my cities/states wouldn’t be bothered to try, except Hawaii who happens to be halfway around the world. As for Ireland, Norway and Ireland both have embassies at each other’s locations. As a result, it is likely they know one another. I can’t see them really getting along. Erin is too impatient to try to get to know Norway and you’ve mentioned very clearly that Norway is a bit of a hermit. I can also see moments occurring when they are in the same place where that blunt tongue offends Erin and sets her on one of her messed up tirades.
To summarize; Acquaintances, Dislike by nature but friendly terms.
ANTARCTICA and NORWAY
Norway has claimed parts of Antarctica for study purposes. Despite Norway being reclusive I can see these two being friends as a result. Desna would come to visit him, and he wouldn't mind the hermit-like mentality given that Desna was on he own for many years before he ever had contact with another being to begin with. What do you think?

NEW ZEALAND and NORWAY
Norway may be reclusive but New Zealand has always had decent relations with it. The two see eye to eye on most policies but there is one exception. Whaling. New Zealand wants to see Norway decrease its whaling and Norway wants to increase it. New Zealand and other countries are currently protesting Norway’s plans to increase whaling. New Zealand’s Prime Minister in 2004 even went and visited Norway, becoming the first of New Zealand’s Prime Ministers to do so. As a result, I see these two having met, perhaps they keep in long distance contact. Text, voicemail and occasional visits? Friendly terms, but not quite full fledge friends.

Ireland and Norway A professional relationship would make the most sense between the two. Basically every country has an embassy in every other country and is more of a general formality than actual indicator of friendship on the assumption that nations recognize one another. I doubt there would be much between these two given the differences of personality.
Antarctica and Norway The cold weather would be familiar to both and with the island and region of Antarctica that Norway has claimed, there is plenty of reason for the two to interact. Norway would visit Antarctica from time to time when home got too boring. Besides, Norway, if he wanted, would have the patience to teach Desna about his role as a personification. There's a fair amount that we can discuss.
New Zealand and Norway National sovereignty. Norway is just a bit annoyed at attempts to either ban or decrease whale/seal hunting from other countries, the EU and NZ included. I'd leave them at acquaintance. 'Hi. I recognize you exist and I'll be nice to you, but let's not get too close.' Distance is going to be a problem so I doubt they'd have frequent interactions, but nothing hostile so long as whaling isn't the topic. Even then, I'd expect things to end in debate rather than full out argument.

ANTARCTICA and NORWAY
I can see that being a huge help. Des really has little understanding of just what being a personification means when it comes down to things. Because of the nature of his, he is lacking a large portion of that responsibility. It’d be good to have someone willing to take the time to teach him. Sounds like a good start to me. =)
NEWZEALAND and NORWAY
Agreed. That does seem to be the most logical result given the personalities of both paired with their political history.
